I rode IHSA for University of Delaware from 1993-96. It was so fun, especially traveling to Tournaments and Nationals (in California). It definitely improved my riding, but most importantly I made friends for life. Some of my best friends I have today are from UDET!!!

I do IEA right now and it is amazing! It is currently open to 6th-12th graders (middle and high school) but in the 2019-2020 season they will open it up to 4th and 5th graders which is exciting!

DANIEL O'KANE - Me either but thankful I’ll be in high school next year so I won’t have the possibility to have them in my class. Also my trainer said something about how a region can decide weather or not they want to have 4th and 5th graders, and that there may be a just walk trot class for them. Then again I’m not sure about any of this 😆 other than that 4th and 5th graders will have the option to join

I'm about to head to college and I'm absolutely going to join the IHSA team if they'll have me, and on one hand I love that finance won't play such a role in determining winners, but I'm someone who's never effective my first time on a new horse. I start very soft, because I'd rather assert myself later than have to regain the trust of a horse I was too firm with, and now that (presumably) you've done this for a few years, do you have advice on how to do well with a horse you only spend a few minutes with? Also, I'm really going to miss the time spent prepping a horse for show.

If you didn't sell Zara, would you have used her with equestrian team? Or left her in Michigan?
@EquestrianPrep5 жыл бұрын
I would’ve brought her because she wouldn’t get any work in Michigan but I couldn’t afford to ship her here.

As a male, I’m I eligible to try out for an IHSA team even if the college is D1?
@EquestrianPrep4 жыл бұрын
If the team is D1, it’s NCEA not IHSA and those are typically a lot harder to join.
@adrinothnagle4 жыл бұрын
if it’s ncea i don’t think so but if it’s ihsa it’s open to everyone :-))

Equestrian prep your videos are awesome!! Thank you so much for your inspiring videos and helping me become a better rider myself. I take lessons and have been riding for over two years. I am 11. Here is a lesson that I recorded of my progress so far - kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKjGY2R6j9Jpmqs The horse I was riding was being very stubborn that day. Any tips you see, please let me know. I am all ears. I am still working at it…thank you again for your videos. Keep this coming!!
