I do have an issue with the Florida - Tennessee one a bit, the QB had plenty of time to take the knee but he doesn’t, he’s trying to eat up the remaining seconds on the clock, yeah we al know what he doing and what he was going to do but until he takes the knee he’s still a target. I’m a gators fan, gotta agree with your take. Gonna be a penalty 100/100 times though based on how the rules are set up. Nothing can really be done to avoid this either bc these guys are the ultimate competitors so ofc they’re gonna push everything to the limit. The gators players don’t wanna give up the 1st and the QB obv wants the 1st, becomes a game of chicken and once both sides commit it’s too late, really don’t think it was malicious by the defenders, just the outcome of competitiveness and the desire to win

The fact that the refs missed that UTEP player stomping on the Louisiana tech player’s neck was the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Not only a horrible penalty that should require the dude getting thrown off the team but they fact they didn’t see it was really freaking bad, oh my god

11:15 I don't blame 75 for protecting his receiver. I'd want O-lineman, especially interior, who are ready to destroy someone at any given time if I was a coach or a Quarterback.

It always confuses me when some players make these hits and act so hard after hitting a defenseless person lol (example: 2:27)

They were brought up thru a dirty sports community with no sense of humility or honor. Me growing up just talking to the other team after we score was grounds for being taken out of the next game. My coaches did not play that type of game.

As somebody who doesn't watch American Football imma need somebody to explain why the first one is dirty. Like I think I understand the context. A player foes down on purpose so its effectively a down without a tackle being made and the game resets. I'm guessing to eat up the clock? But unless there's something about the way the two players come in it looks to me like they are pretty much committed to the hit well before the player gets to the floor? not sure how they are supposed to pull out of the contact if the player goes to ground deliberately at the last possible second?

A slide is usually done by the QB in order to avoid getting hit and subsequently injured. Plays like this exist on a spectrum. On one end its egregious and a clear penalty for hitting a "defenseless" player. On the other its a bang-bang play where the QB waits too long to slide in order to get more yards. In my opinion, the Florida State QB did kind of a jump slide into two defenders, should have slide way earlier. Flag gets called because optics.

Sure the QB slide too late but the defenders should be expecting him to slide and they went for helmet helmet contact anyways

Another thing I'm learning about American football if a receiver is going to catch a pass you have to get out of, he's way to let him catch it then Takle him or it's a defenseless receiver Peneltay am I wrong? I love American football I'm just wanting to know I learn it right.

You can only play the ball. So if a receiver is going to catch a pass you can’t hold his arms down or push him before he touches the ball.
