The level of talent at OSU is obscene. But the real reason they’ll be unstoppable is because Day has finally given up play calling. They may put up 50+ a game.
@fried_tacos1587
@fried_tacos1587 3 ай бұрын
And who he gave play calling duties to aswell, giving up calla are one thing but he gave it up to basically the guy who wrote his playbook in the first place. Chip is gonna have a field day with the level of talent that's now at his disposal. He's probably gonna start a trend of HCs reverted back to coordinator roles so they can just call plays and worry about football instead of being a salesman to boosters for NIL or athletic directors/presidents

I know all the preseason talk is worthless, but I so desperately want this team to literally score 100 points on Michigan this year. The last three tOSU losses, two of which are suspect, would be 110% forgiven if Day can manage it.

I think Carson Beck is about to have a breakout season that will propel him to be a heisman finalist and future top 10 pick in next years draft. Before you say “well he lost McConkey, Bowers, etc etc keep in mind those 2 were injured for most of the season last year and he was still able to put up 3,941 yards (top 3) 24 tds with only 6 picks in his first year in Bobo’s system.

Vegas is probably going to be right and plus I'm seeing a lot of people betting for Tennessee to go over 9.5 and usually when the masses make the books uneven Vegas's ends up right add other fan bases along with are excited fan base that thinks they're smarter than Vegas are just going to be paying the referees to help pull strings for Vegas and make us lose a game I know I'm going to be so pissed when I see it😅

FSU should be in this list. Mike Norvell is a genius in adapting the offense to fit his players and scheming up ways to keep defenses on their heels. FSU added so much extra speed and power at WR and RB that they lacked last year. DJU, the 6-4 255# QB is the key to making this offense click and dominate opponents. He has a cannon of an arm who will push the ball deep down the field - something that wasn't in the Jordan Travis arsenal. You'll see a revitalized running game that will pick up chunk plays and set up play-action passes downfield.

Ole Miss might have the #1 offense in the country this year, and not just because of all the talent and Dart being in his 3rd year. It might be the result of something not being discussed very much: the new rules regarding the use of audio devices in helmets. Kiffin is an earlier adopter, very progressive, and he sees potential in things that others miss. He even called this a "cheat code" for his offense.

Part of me thinks Michigan could run an offense designed in the 1950s with Orji, Mullings and Edwards in the same backfield and average 6.5 yards a carry. Probably not sustainable for a whole game, but it may work in the late 3rd and all of the 4th quarter after they wear teams out. Why not have Denegal or Tuttle handle 60% of the snaps at QB and have Orji handle 40%? Orji could also come in for another 20% of plays as a TE/FB. This could also be situational. If they are up 10+ points, let Orji handle an offense that can eat clock. When Denegal/Tuttle are in, they throw 50% of the time including short passes to Orji. When Orji is QB they throw 30% of the time. Overall they are 40%+ pass/ 60% run.

Why is Alabama not on this list? You have heisman contender in Milroe, Jam Miller and Haynes in the backfield, Kendrick Law, Germie Bernard, Caleb odom, Ryan Williams, etc at WR (Ryan Will is a generational talent and will 100% play his freshman year), with 2-3 ALL SEC O-linemen with Deboer and Shepherd coaching
@joshuahaney3400
@joshuahaney3400 3 ай бұрын
If Milroe starts and learns to short arm pass/pass 5-20 yards hitting WR on the run, and hitting his rb also bama will be deadly on offense. Nobody should come withing 21 points of bama if Milroe can do all that consistently. That would have to be scared of his passing then instead of just his legs and deep pass.

There is a handful of teams that are going to be near that 40 ppg average - perhaps a team or 2 that could be helped by their schedules also. - - - Appears to me the Chip Kelly factor will be scary as hell -- given his 100% attention as the OC / HC of this Offense ! His 'only' job ( ? ) - with all these 5* athletes he has for the first time '''ever''' !!! The weapons he will be able to throw out there will be a nightmare for any D. -- This team could well be the National Champs - especially combined with the Knowles D likely being a top 3 D as well ! ---- Hard for me to 'not' put them ahead of Georgia as the team to win it all - as RJ Young also sees it. 🤔

@@Thankyou423.3 he’s a fantastic play caller, there’s no doubt. However, he’s only had transfers do well. Spencer Rattler, his first big time recruit, was not developed and was not any good. Their offense certainly wasn’t even top 10 that year until Caleb took over. Riley has been good when he finds an already made QB. We don’t have enough proof otherwise to show he can develop. Caleb was already that good as soon as he started playing. He never had to or did develop, at least not because of Riley. We’ve about to find out real quick, playing some actual defenses in college, and then a brand new QB, and one he’ll have to have developed, how good he really is. He’s obviously not a very good HC but he knows what he’s doing on offense. Brand new QB with little experience, it is more than debatable. Thats a big deal and against much better defenses, we’ll see in his first year how good he is. It’s definitely no guarantee he’s going to maintain a top 5 offense. Not more “likely” than these other offenses with proven commodities at premier positions.
