Speaking as a gay man of a certain age, I am here to tell you that these 2 are going to make it for the long haul. I see a lot of deep and real love and strong mutual respect. Also, their personalities compliment one another wonderfully. There will be no strong competition in this relationship (which can be a BIG issue with gay male couples); they fit together like pieces of a puzzle. 2 Mikes could be a problem. 2 PKs probably wouldn't last. But you put one of each together, and you have a formula that absolutely works. They are BOTH very, very lucky to have found one another. Every happiness, guys!

Brittany Hudson If you go to the comments section on Shane Dawson's coming out video, it's a completely different world :/ I'm glad there isn't much negativity in this section, but unfortunately, in Shane's comment section, the amount of negativity equals the amount of positivity in this section :/ It'd quite sad, honestly.

I feel like accepting that you are the way you are is the biggest thing to know before you actually come out. Like for me, I knew I was gay pretty early in my life but I never really fully accepted it until about last year and that's when my confidence just skyrocketed and I really realized that I was born like this and it's just a part of me. Then I finally came out in January because I was so ready and I was just ready to be myself completely and not have to hide anything anymore. Thanks for sharing your stories guys, it'll help a lot of people. Love ya

Mike, I have probably watched thousands of coming out videos on here, and made some of my own, but I think yours resonates with me more than any other. That feeling of knowing and hiding and pushing yourself to be who you think the world wants you to be. Playing football just because it's "masculine" and being terrified of having that "gay label" attached to you in any way. Expecting something to change and that one day you would be able to trick yourself enough into believing that you're straight that you just would be and you'd get married and you'd be "normal" and finally be happy. Whatever that is. And that void.. the emptiness. Been there so hard. I moved away to college this past year and was fully out for the first time in my life but the idea of being completely open on Facebook, to have people from my old life find this "secret" out about me..it's still terrifying. And I don't even know why. I still feel like, if people ask I'll tell them, because I'm done with lying, but I don't feel comfortable truly being open. I don't want to be scared. I don't have any reason to be, but I am. I guess when you do everything in your power to hide something for so long, the impulse to keep it hidden is still so strong that it's hard to get over by yourself. But seeing your video and hearing you talk about it makes me realize that one day it's going to seem so unimportant what other people think of me and that I will get there one day. Thank you, you guys are both so awesome and inspirational just by being yourselves and sharing it with the world! It's so important, and it's videos like this that help people see that they can be themselves, no matter what that means. I hope you guys know how much a difference you're making. Keep on keeping on!

I'm really glad you shared your story with us Mike. I think it's still important for certain people around the globe to see that not all gay men fit into a certain stereotype if nothing else but to break down the otherness that many people experience when interacting with member of the LGBT community. It's very easy to see someone as less than when you can confine them into a box and you certainly don't fit inside that box. There's nothing wrong with being feminine, I'm pretty feminine myself, but breaking societal molds is something that we all benefit from as a community. I appreciate your courage and I hope you and PK keep making such fantastic content.

PK, true love is letting your partner have 'The Mike Show' ! I have 3 cousins that are gay and my best friend is gay. When my sons were 5& 6, they asked me about about my best friend and why he kissed his friend a lot. I said that love is love, it's wonderful, some mum's love dads, some mum's love mums and some dad's love dads. I HAVE NOT WANTED MY CHILDREN TO WORRY, FOR ONE SECOND OF THEIR LIVES, THAT I WOULDN'T EXCEPT THEM IF THEY WERE GAY! So every story about love in my house has been, 'When you meet the woman or man of your dreams" or "I hope the first woman or man you bring home won't see your bedroom, cause it's disgusting, clean it up!"

Good for you, Mike! Accepting yourself, and being happy being you is an incredible awareness to have. Many men are stuck in that trap of being terrified about anyone finding out they're gay. It's not until you accept yourself, and are not afraid of yourself, that you become truly free to be you! It's a wonderful thing to be in love, and openly able to share that love you have for your partner, and with the people around you that you love and that mean the most to you. "Any choice I make now isn't going to be a mistake it's going to be a learning experience" that's awesome. I may have to steal that and put it in my next script. Great job on the video Mike. Watching this I realized we have a lot in common. When I told my Mom and my Aunt it was a very similar response, except they were watching Gun Smoke. Funny thing is I was interrupting an old show with what they thought was old news. Anyway, I'll say it again, great job and I'm sure this will be inspirational to many people that just need to know things will be okay.

There are many people stuck in their own emotional quagmires. I live in Canada where homophobia is extremely uncommon [offering some of the highest LGBT equality] but of course I have sympathy for anyone going through their own struggles coming out. PK and Mike have made a beautiful channel that lifts the spirits of many people, gay and straight. I hope beyond hope that some day I will be in a relationship like theirs- and I may even make a KZbin channel, lol. Thank you two so so much. Enough fangirling!! From a loyal fan from the North.

I completely agree with everything in this video. Being a certain sexuality isn't who you are. It's a very very very small part of what makes up who you are. It's important, but there's so much more to a person than that. So just embrace it rather than being defined or controlled by it. You're you and that's amazing, whether you're gay, straight, bi, or whatever. I love you guys and what you stand for. You're awesome. Don't change for anyone.

Mike, you are so well spoken! The people I know from SW Virginia have a pretty heavy "twang" to their accent! I grew up in Atlanta but, my parents and family were/are New Yorkers. So my accent is strange to say the least! Funny how we all go down our different paths to get where we are and look at how strong and capable we are. I am glad youse two found each other. You appear to be happy and balanced.

I definitely recognize this whole charade and trying to do as many traditionally masculine things to make sure no one ever thought I was gay. At the same time, these things also became a way for me to avoid confirming that I was gay. I knew I was, but I didn't want to make sure, kind of. It didn't help that the vast majority of people you see that are gay - in real life or in movies - happen to be more stereotypical. And of course, the gay characters from all those movies keep fueling that notion. I had never seen someone I could relate to, and that was a big issue for me. I don't have the most supportive family as far as sexuality goes, so coming out meant putting a lot of stress on them as well. I'm happy that you were able to grow up in such a warm environment, and despite the hardships you met early on, you seem to have figured things out :) Y'all are adorable together. Thanks for contributing to the gay community by showing everyone what love means, and that gender doesn't matter :)

I am always so touched and moved by your videos especially your coming out stories, right now I to am struggling with coming out to a lot of people just because of what kind of world we live in. My mother knows and all my friends but that’s about it, then I ran into a quote on Facebook that said Once You Become Fearless, Life Becomes Limitless. I have been living by that ever since when it comes to everything not just coming out, and then hearing about all the support you guys get and seeing comments people leave you makes me believe that I will have that to, Love you guys.

Thanks for telling your story. I love that you loved yourself enough to give yourself a break in order to be who you really are. I remember the video where PK tells us that you became official on Facebook because you took that leap.

It was evident to me from the first few videos I saw you in, Mike, that you were a strong, practical, down-to-earth, self-possessed person. I think it's those qualities that draw so many people to you and to PK on this medium. You honor us by allowing us to see some of the struggle you went through, the burden you carried for so long by yourself. I think this, just as with PK's coming out video, will be of immense value to those living in fear of being who they are, those writhing in the turmoil of that fear. I suspected, too, from the few times I've seen her in videos here, that your mother would react in the manner she did to your revelation, the way all parents should react to their gay children coming to terms with their sexuality. And, lastly, I guessed, not only from what you said here, but also from comments you made on your twitter account, just how much your dad meant to you. If I may be so bold, I think he would have been very, very proud of the man you have become. #LOVEWINS #mylovetoyouboth #butyoualreadyknow

It's interesting, and important to both of your stories, that you mentioned that you had the confidence to accept yourself/yourselves. Both of you seem to have a lot of self-confidence and I think a lot of that has to do with your families' love and acceptance of your sexuality. It may be an abstract idea for a future video but I think you could do a service to your LGBTQ fans who haven't had such an accepting environment in which to come out if you thought about what makes/made you self-confident as individuals and talk about what you did in your formative years to give you confidence in yourselves. For example, PK, you seem to have arrived in LA and found a pretty good job in a relatively short period of time. I work in a library which helps people find jobs. Many of these people take a very long time to find one or simply don't succeed. What was your job search strategy? How did your self-confidence contribute to this? Anyway, thank you for sharing both of your stories.

This is so awesome. I wish my life were able to play out with such a positive ending. I'm a pastors son. Being raised with that extra pressure where everything had to be seen as above perfect from the outside and knowing I will never be accepted as gay from my parents is a heavy blow. My dad died in my first semester of college in a car accadent. I am the oldest of three boys an I had to grow up fast. My emotions were and probably still are pretty screwed up. I am out to everyone except the "church" world. My brothers know and are cool with it but mom will never accept it. I am now dating another pastors son that is even more stuck in the stigma and control of family and church I'm scared I will loose the best thing to happen to me. I love watching yalls videos and escaping into a happier reality. Thank you.

If the church group is weighing you down with negativity, it may be important to distance yourself from those particular people. Also it can be difficult for two people going through similar struggles to maintain a healthy relationship but it can be done. Just remember your love can't be tarnished by other people's opinions. Your love is for you two alone. Maybe both of you will have to distance yourselves. Needing breathing room to become more confident is not a bad thing. I wish you the best.

The Mike show was really good! I hope we'll see a few more installments! Mike, I went to Longwood College, which is now a University, so I know a little something about Hampden Sidney. Before I get off track, I just wanted to tell you that your story will help many other college students in similar situations as you were when you were in college.

I really appreciate your courage in sharing your story with us mike...I almost cried to be honest! But I just want to tell you that no matter what there is pk next to you who I'm 10000% sure he will do anything to keep you happy.like honestly I'm really jealous of your relationship like how pk is looking at you like you mean the world to him and how he keep holding your hand like the world depends on it and vice versa... I really wish having a relationship like yours......but anyway stay with each othe and REMEMBER TO SMILE CUZ IT'S WORTH IT!!!!OKAY!!

Great videos boys. You two are so cute together. When you can be you and then meet the man of your life, WOW nothing could be better than experiencing the love you two show that you share. My lover and I have been together 13 years, AND IT IS WONDERFUL !!!!!!!!! My lover loves older men and I love younger men. He is 22 years my junior and is 47. Never forget the vow you made to each other to love each other through thick and thin. REMEMBER: "Time is the incubator of trust and sincerity, and if either is broken only time will heal the wound" !!!

Love these videos. I think you both are inspirational people. I watch many coming out videos & think you guys are so brave to make these sorts of videos that are personal it's makes me wonder how I would tell my experiences as a gay muslim it's a scary thought I can mention it like this but still haven't got the courage to make a video out of it but I hope when I do, it would help other people in the same or similar situation to appreciate themselves as the videos on KZbin do to me & watching some of your favourite youtubers coming out videos actually help me a lot on a day to day situation & has helped me handle some things in a calm way than just panic. I love watching your journey & makes my day 😃😃😃

Both of you are so genuine and such amazing people that I almost felt like I know you which is crazy because this is the first video of you that I've watched. I am soo happy for you both. And also pk's eyes are soo sparkly. I am always reading books where a character has eyes that twinkle and I never understood what that meant. But pk's eyes just sparkle so much and now I understand.

Really at a loss for words. Mike, you have hit the nail on the head! The real thing is to be yourself! We often worry so much about what others think so it tears us apart. When to be happy and loved is all we want.

I have often wondered, since finding this channel not long ago, how Mike came out Given that he grew up on a farm in the South I’d wondered how his family seemed so accepting in the vids. Great video and love you both!

I am in my second year of college and I was planning to come out in june but something happened a few days ago and now I feel so scared to come out (officially) to my family and college friends, I know half of my family will love for who I am but I'm scared of my grandma's reaction. I have to find courage. I LOVE your videos, and somehow I find in them a little courage to start a new life out of the closet hahahaha (sorry if my english is bad) Kisses from Argentina.

Oh my gosh guys! I am also in Southwest VA. I am so happy that y'all had such great support from friends and family when you were coming out. I am sorry to hear about your dad passing away when you were so young. I know that is hard enough on it's own. I unfortunately have a very different story and I am definitely still in the closet for now, but hopefully that will be changing very soon! If y'all would ever want to hang out and maybe help me find more people in this area in the LGBTQ community that would be so helpful to me you would have no idea!

This is one of the most enlightening ups you did, guys. It's 2021 and still relevant to many young people. My brother suffered like Mike for years; unfortunately, it's more difficult when the first person who will reject you is your own mother. Mike was truly blessed when his offered him dinner after the "I'm gay" statement. Truly, just another "ordinary" in Mike's household.
