Playoff committee got it right but the format needs to change in some capacity at the least there needs to be reseeding after the 1st round

Just don’t understand why they can’t finalize a College Football Playoff ranking and simply select the top-12 teams to fill the CFP bracket in order. The same applies to March Madness. Just rank teams from 1 to 68, and Boom! You have your bracket. Automatic qualifiers make the entire process a bit weird. No offense to Clemson and Arizona State.

OH, I forgot...they are in they are a member of THE Severely Educationally Challenged and everybody knows that ALL 16 teams in the S.E.C. are AUTOMATICALLY ranked in the Preseason in the Top 10. Penn State hung 37 on a much better defense than SMU has ever faced. Not shabby by any stretch of the imagination. And SMU has no where near the defense that Penn State Brings to the table....as long as the refs haven't been paid off!!....Start calling HOLDING penalties at the beginning of the game and the playing field becomes much more even and competitive.

The committee punted. It decided that playing a rigorous schedule is not important; that it’s better to play a patsy schedule , then get to your conference championship game. What the only way to fix this, after having seen one year,,is to seed 16 teams and make the factors of strength of wins and schedule to be weighted much heavier. I was puzzled by listening to the SMU coach say “don’t disincentivize teams to play in a championship game.” Really? They needed to play I. It to try to increase their strength of schedule and try to get a quality win. I’m seeing Clemson in and SMU, which lost. South Carolina just beat Clemson. Conference championships need to mean nothing more than any other game. Seed 16. Give the top 4 ranked teams two home games. That is incentive enough to play a difficult schedule and get some quality wins. Instead, the committee made this bracket a fiction.
