The committee put way too much weight on records without gaging who teams actually beat. PSU is a good, not great team. ND is slightly more proven but I agree with you that it's not by much.

I am no blinded Texas fan. I see a team that struggles to play an entire game. I have to think one day they will turn it on for the entire game, hopefully this week. I am also not saying that if they both play to the best of their ability Texas will win, honestly saying the opposite, it will take Texas 100% and OSU 95%. I just find it funny less than 3 games ago people wanted to fire the HC of OSU, now they are unstoppable. I think at times people forget they are still young men and even fully grown men have good and bad days. Its part of the world we are in, I am just hoping to enjoy a game.

I think the stick shift offense is more on sark getting too conservative and leaning on the defense. If Texas wants to beat the Ohio state then he’s gonna have to cook up a killer game plan and they’ll have to be aggressive. I will say though last time sark coached against Ohio state he found a way to put up 50 on them. These 2 teams match up very well it should be a very good game.

Penn state's defense is operating at a higher level than George's? I don't know how we would even determine that was the case. Penn State played two lower division teams. They haven't beaten anybody that's any good. They may win the game, but I don't think there's any reason that we should think they will.

Jeremiah Smith making crazy catches down the field is a given. The best way to deal with him is to go after Will Howard, bc even though he’s a good QB, he’s not as good as Ewers, Allar, or Gabriel. He doesn’t do that great when there’s a lot of pressure, but the Ohio Oline has prevented him from getting sacked during the playoffs. You gotta have an aggressive pass rush

Its tough for me to pick PSU-ND. I think ND is more ready for the moment and them being dead even in the trenches with Georgia tells me they've got something special fundamentally. But I do like Penn States offensive upside. Warren is a mismatch and Allar is miles better than Leonard as a passer. Plus they can maul in the run game if they just commit to it & have two special backs. I think im slightly leaning ND though.

agreed. that is their only hope if they want to stop the passing game. however, doing that could open up HUGE running-lanes for the buckeyes. i think UT tries to run the ball and play "keep away" from the buckeye offense. i don't think it works, though - buckeyes rotate 7 d-linemen........all big/fast/athletic.

Two turnovers were “forced fumbles” so there is no luck there and nothing lucky about a kick return either I get it NDs offense doesn’t look sexy and I would never say it wasn’t a close game with Georgia but let’s not pretend like we didn’t watch ND outplay Georgia at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball we rushed for 150 and Georgia had 60. So I would say “handle fairly easy” is a wild thing to say so good luck to you man

If you look at the recruiting rankings, Penn State definitely has lower quality of players than Notre Dame. It's not a huge difference but it is noteworthy. The only argument that can be made is the one recruiting class Penn State had that was really good would be coming into its own, into prominence. But that's the only argument you can make. What I would say about the game is that Notre Dame is beating 2-3 teams that are more talented than Penn State, whereas Penn State hasn't beaten a team with as good of talent as Notre Dame.

PSU is a top 7 run defense and #12 yards per play in the air. ND is 112th in air. Aside from the big homerun runs, ND hasn't been extremely dominant in the run ga.e lately. PSU isn't going to give up a 60 yard td run with a banged up Love. PSU has BETTER skilled players and don't need ND to shoot themselves on the foot to win.

JD Pickell is wrong that the Big Ten is better than the SEC. To be fair the 2 good games were against a 10-2 Tennessee team. That they blew off planet earth the second good game was against a 13-0 and unanimously 1 ranked team in the nation. And they were up 34-0 In the second quarter. Texas just gave up 39 first downs and 500 yards to Arizona state. The thing that makes Ohio State deadly is their defense. Caleb downs is by far the best defensive player in the nation and they have about 7 guys that will be top 3 round picks. And they have multiple 5th year seniors on that d line. These are grown ass men. Jack Sawyer, Tylieke Williams, and JT Tuomoliao. All 5th year guys. High round picks and they are 21-22 years old. These are literally men. That’s why Ohio State will beat Texas and anyone else. Not the fancy WRs. Or RBs. The Dline is giant, fast, grown and nasty.
