The SS was from 2008 to 2010, the 2009 panel SS was only 216 and the 1/2 panel or AA5 was only 199 built

I currently own a '09 SS panel one of 216 panels built. One of just 9 in Aqua Blue Mettalic. '09 was the only model year you could order a full panel. Mine has the RPD option one of just 67 with this! Being mine has the automatic trans it still gets up and goes. My SS has the dealer installed body line stripe in silver with HHR name on the stripe. Same owner for 14 years ordered new. Do also have the window sticker.

I used to have a red 08 SS. Loved it. Did many tasteful performance mods but looked stock on the outside. I sold it on Cars and Bids a year ago and Doug wrote a nice comment on it.

Zzp performance has a bolt on turbo and a bolt on supercharger kit for the 2.2 and the 2.4l.

I think the similarity at a brief glance to pt cruiser which was played out by the time these were released. The whole nostalgia looking vehicle phase was already tapering off. I own an SS and an older pt turbo and both have durable bodies but,, the pt car was just dreadful to own. I had the engine fail twice before it even hit 30,000.. We use the pt like one uses an ATV around their property to pull wagons and haul landscaping/gardening dirt,, sand, and gravel and equipment. It has about 70k now but, is just too unreliable to be a real car.

Come on, just a little research. The HHR SS was first available in 2008 not 2009. I have a 2008 HHR SS. Also the HHR SS delivery was only offered for one year with just over 220 ever built. Making it one of the rarest production cars ever built by Chevrolet.

The methanol is so unnecessary, these cars are not meant to actually be race car-ey. I miss my 09 HHR LS, mine was totaled because some guy was running from th cop and T-Boned it while my mom and grandmother were out running errands. I miss it so much, I liked being different. Honestly I’m in the market for an SS, if I find one with good mileage and not beaten up, I’m instantly selling my truck. "They both drive similar….." Sorry but I’m pretty sure they both are the SS lmao
