You forgot to mention that in the scene where we see Daphne and Tilda painting on the bed, the camera pans across a bunch of tubes of paints and the brand of the paints on the tubes says "Siegel". Which is where the girls took inspiration from to name the detective "Detective Siegel".

I really felt that when Stephanie said she was always the dog when playing house 😭 My dad used to be friends with this dude whose daughter would ALWAYS make me be the maid/servant/butler when playing house. There were only two of us playing. One day my mom had overheard her ordering me around in our “game” and she came in there and was NOT having any of that. I was never forced to play nice with that girl ever again.

Wth forcing someone to play as a servant. At least being the dog can be fun, I always offered to be the dog just so I could bark at them and bite the kids I didn't like. Then one day I upgraded to being the dragon who lives in the nearby cave and some boys decided to play too and also be dragons, ruining the girls house game lol

ok so here is my theory: Since the day that dapfne fell from the treehouse, which caused trauma to the 3 of them and when she said that she killed her grandparents in reality they did send them to a mental institution since they kept saying how they are safe there, have food and whatever they need so the mansion is in fact the mental institution. The other 2 never left for college at nyc and the three of them had been playing that game for all those years

@ajengwidhayaksa91683 жыл бұрын
OMG yes most movies and books she has featured in BAM already got nice plots to begin with but I remember that one episode of BAM about that indie thriller movie where the main character was a murderer irl (the one she featured in the Mukbang as well). I tried watching the trailer and I just knew it was a low budget film but Stephanie's storytelling made it as though it was directed by Christopher Nolan 😭

To me this movie is a representation of trauma. Perhaps shared trauma from Daphne falling out of the tree or perhaps from something that happened at the end of one of their rounds , which would explain why they keep playing the same story. They relive/remember the traumatic event over and over again. The drugs and the foot scene in the bathroom reference drugs and sex being used in an attempt to cope , and the tons of burn marks on Petula's arms remind me of self harm.
