so to me, there's 2 key differences between "stalking" and "looking up" 1. bad or good intentions 2. a follow up plan of action in most day to day cases we're just looking up celebrities or crushes without any bad intentions and not planning to ever message them or show up where they are, it's just for us. stalking is when you start planning an action after looking them up, be it online harassment or actually following them around irl. that's just kinda how i personally define it
