Don't know...Some of the grads I know are living @ home, working minimum wage jobs with a handful getting paid strictly in cash while defaulting on their student loan debt because the monthly payments left them next to nothing of their net pay...

Corporations have changed their business models that coincides with their share holders need of more money, more money. The employees are just a necessity to complete the company's mission at a bargain. Long ago if you where loyal to a company, they rewarded you with retirement pay and healthcare to aid you in your golden years. Nowadays, they hire through staffing agencies so they are not responsible for any of your HR benefits. Staffing agencies mark ups are so low you'll get paid for hours you worked only and no health insurance you can afford. The psychology of these corporations is funny. They'll put you in a high tech corporate office, security badge, laptop, docking station, etc. Even though you're only making a few more bucks then your friends at Home Depot or Walmart, you feel empowered and important because you go downtown to a skyscraper. Next they'll let you work from home a few days a week and give you flex time. Now you don't complain because you're 15 dollar per hour seems okay since you get to come in early and leave early or work from home. This will be the first generation on track to make less than their parents made. The poor and the have-not has always got screwed by the rich, always have always will.

OMG! Mr.Fowler : I guess I will be working my Star Bucks job to pay off my massive student loan until I turn 65 y/o. Thanks alot President Obumer for all of the hope and loose change. Guess I'll be living with mom & dad until I am old & grey!!!

If you blame Walmart then you've got to blame China , and if you blame China then you've got to blame our government, and if you blame our government then you got to blame yourselves, and if you blame yourselves then you can change it. We want everything for cheaper but we don't want to take the responsibility of what that does to our economy.

We as american should humble ourselves and learn to work first then spend secondly. Higher education isn't a right , it's a privilege. If and when it can be afforded it should but being abused by usury of banks is wrong and will only make you poor. We want new cars today and pay for them in 5 years, this is wrong! Sacrifice for 5 years then buy a new car. It's new and its your and in the end you will be happier and that's what it's all about !

nahla03pt: Ok, OK, I will blame the republicans ,democrats,the president and everyone on capitol hill that you and I are supporting with our Tax Dollars to support their lavish life style & standard of living while the masses of sheeple continue to struggle.Thank god for student loan debt .At least the federal govt. will have a way to collect interest revenue from all of the students indebted to Sally Mae to reduce the national debt.
