Today I just got accepted to my dream uni in the uk! Of course I am very excited but also terrified since I will be moving away to a whole different continent and away from my family and friends and starting all over. I did a study abroad in the UK and when I first arrived in my room after the journey I felt so weird and empty and upset. I think in a week time, however, I was completely used to the new situation, you really do adapt quickly ! now I'm so goddamn happy I went there and I'm so proud of myself. And, indeed, it really wasn't that scary, I would even say not scary at all. It is really so cool you got accepted in this university, you can be really proud of your hard work and your courage !

ahhh that's definitely something I struggled with (and still do sometimes) but I try my best to not study in my room instead in libraries or cafes so when I'm back in my room I turn everything off and allocate that time to relaxing

As someone who’s had to move a lot, I can definitely relate to struggling with maintaining friendships (or not doing so at all to be honest) and I’ve actually come to the exact same conclusion, about most friendships when we’re younger existing out of convenience. Even before the pandemic, I was never really one to go out with friends and spend time with them outside of school. Something I want to try this year is to socialise more and I think I’ll do better actually seeking out people who share interests with me. For me, there are also the issues of social awkwardness and distance... and I’m probably moving for the seventh time in my life (I’m not quite nineteen) next year but eh. Your brother is so cute. 😭 Congrats on your silver play button! You really deserve it.
