Claire, welcome back to USF. My wife and I graduated there in 2012. We still go to a church service at the MSC on Sundays (Cornerstone). Feel free to check it out. This Thursday the student group is having a free BBQ (Publix fried chicken) at the MSC atrium outside. The church really helped my wife and a ton when we were students (and we weren't even Christians at the time!). Anyways have a great semester and Go Bulls!

I was watching a different video and recognized Greek Village. I clicked so fast. I'm a Chi Omega from USF. The women of DG are some of the nicest I've ever met (aside from literally every other Greek woman on that campus 😅😅)

@claireemercier Жыл бұрын
not at all!!! the recruitment process is really cool because it allows you to really find the chapter you connect with. there are 10 different sororities on USF's campus and they are all great. go for it!!!

I know USF is known as a commuters’ college , But I think it’s ridiculous that you would have to spend additional money for sorority “ house “ that looks like nothing more than a dorm. Definitely not a true sorority experience.
@claireemercier2 жыл бұрын
Actually, the cheapest place to live on campus is in Greek Village! I am saving a lot of money by living here :) plus I get the advantage of knowing everyone that I live with!!
@alexise53762 жыл бұрын
I think it is sad that we put so much emphasis on what the house looks like and what clothes the women are wearing during recruitment. None of that mattered when I was stuck without a place to stay for two days after moving from USF to LSU. The LSU Chi Omegas let me stay at their house while I waited to move in to my apartment and then even made sure I ate meals with them even though I wasn't on the meal plan. THAT is the true sorority experience.

@claireemercier2 жыл бұрын
USF is located about 20 minutes north of downtown Tampa! I love college because it has allowed me to gain independence, step outside of my comfort zone, and meet the most amazing people. The main challenge I have faced in college is finding a place that I can truly call home (I have lived in 4 different states since beginning college). Thankfully, I was able to finally find a home here at USF :)

And i Appreciate your cool understanding and patience ... ( you know , Of Course there are many people who do that ! , not just you !. I'm talking about safe driving , holding the steering wheel with both hands , ...etc. ) BUT , Allow me , CLAIRE , that you might agree with me , KZbinrs who have Attractive and Shiny channels ( like your channel for example ) ... , certainly have a Very GREAT INFLUENCE on many other people ... yes !!!, and some of people May Easily imitate what they see ... ! , Especially Young ones, teenagers , or others , who like driving cars ! Because they are Already Passionate about interesting KZbin videos and vlogs ! ... Once again , Allow me to Thank your understanding the matter ! , and Of course , I Appreciate your Intelligence and Generosity ... ! Wishing you more GOOD and HAPPINESS ...

This house looks like a dorm 🤔
@claireemercier2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Greek Life is a bit smaller here than at a lot of other schools so we definitely don't get the super fancy houses. I honestly love it here, though -- it doesn't really feel like a dorm because I’m living with a bunch of girls that I love and know well :) I'm just grateful that we have a house!!

To whoever is reading this : May God bless you ! You’re gunna do great in life ! Put God first and everything will fall into place ! John 3:16 says , “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life ! Believing in Christ isn’t only enough! Even the demons believe! However, Matthew 6:33 talks about us seeking Him and spending time with Him in the secret place ( where He lives- Matthew 6:6). If we seek Him, we will find Him! If we love Him, we will obey His commandments ! God’s grace is so sufficient! Wishing nothing but love , joy , peace, prosperity, faith, hope, etc. Have a blessed day ! God loves you so much :) ❤️

Greek life has a history of racism, sexism, and misogyny. Why on earth would you want to be a part of that? Bad choice of friends. My daughter calls sorority girls “basic girls” I agree
@claireemercier2 жыл бұрын
I would love to debunk this stereotype for you, because I couldn't disagree more! Ever since I joined the USF Panhellenic community about a year ago, I have experienced nothing but endless love and support. Never have I ever met a sister or another Panhellenic woman who exhibits any sort of racism or sexism here. Truthfully, I was hesitant to go through recruitment last year because of the stereotypes associated with sororities, but quickly after joining I became SO thankful that I took the step outside of my comfort zone. I would absolutely encourage your daughter to go through sorority recruitment so she can experience first-hand how amazing the community is!
