Just a marvelous work! Love it! Recreating “home town” is something really special. I’m out on the ‘left coast’ (CA) but I sure wish I could visit there! But you’ve really captured it! Judging from other’s comments, it looks like you have been most accurate! Super well done! Thanks so much for sharing!

Beautifully crafted work of art! I grew up in CP, my entire family too for generations. My husband is an architectural model maker and toy train fanatic and asked me to say this is a magnificent work of art, intricate and lovingly detailed. Thank you so much!

That is truly an amazing layout. Amazing modeling as well. Being from College Point and many generations before me, you bring such a wonderful part of NYC to life. So many forgotten buildings. Thank you so much for sharing this. I lived across the street from the Schleicher's Mansion on 13th Ave. Sure do miss the neighborhood.

My family was settled in College Point in the 1890's, my dad was one of the town's doctors, I grew up there on 13th ave and 122nd st now College Point Blvd, went to PS 27, my brother to PS 129. I would love to talk with you because this model you made brings back so many memories and I would love to see it in person... is it on display for the public? Martin Ephraim

Amazing model of our beloved CP :) I think the Rippe house (as we called it) that was on 120th in between 14th & 12th (at Boker Ct) would be a great add.
@floyd1019544 жыл бұрын
Yes I think so too as I live directly across from it. It was on 120th St and 14th Ave. Dead end street at the time. The building is the Koenig-Boker Mansion, aka Rippe House
