Hi boys: i was just watching this as my eldest would like to consider whether Yale or Princeton would be a good fit and I had to stop and tell you how it made me smile when you said there may be one or two exams that make up the majority of your grade, which is hard to understand. We live in Britain and, if you think that is tough - my child will take exams next year that count for 100% of what was learnt over 5 years of lessons!!!! Imagine that! You don’t have ANY actual reported grades for 5 years and then one exam per course determines it all!!! THAT is why our students are super stressed out and only WISH they had the American High School grading system or even university one!!

I think there is a lot of good things about the Ivy League such as the resources, networking, professors, peers, etc. that make them what they are, but going for the reputation, because it cool for you or your parents to say "oh they go to Princeton" I think is a dangerous thing
