You should report the police officer. That frame around your license plate is not against the law, only if it obstructs the letters or #'s at most it would be a fix- it tkt. He gave you a "warning" because he didn't have a lawful reason to pull you over he was fishing for something. Next time you get pulled over get his badge # and report it to his superiors. All of the students there should do the same thing. These cops aren't slick.... they are trying to put you in the system early so you don't have a fighting chance to succeed.

A lot of MD & VA cops are weird about that plastic license plate border and/or glass cover. It's not supposed to cover the state name, your stickers or the license plate number. And the glass must be crystal clear. They only leave you alone when it's one of those ugly standard ones you get with the dealership name on them. 🙄 He could've noticed y'all going out all the time and figured he find a stupid reason to run a sobriety stop 😒.
