I was a twin. My teenaged mother miscarried one of us and thought she was no longer pregnant and didn’t tell her very large Irish Catholic family. This was 1969 where this just was not done. She was so sick that she gained a total of ten pounds and gave birth to me six months later. I was given up for adoption and had the life she knew she couldn’t give me. I met her 21 years later.

I’m currently 9 months pregnant, (and expecting my baby boy any day now 💗) and I totally understand how women might not know they are pregnant. I have actually lost at least 20lbs while being pregnant, my stomach still doesn’t look like I’m pregnant, I’ve never had regular periods and have gone nearly a full year without a period before prior to being pregnant, I was on birth control when I got pregnant, and I haven’t had my baby move a whole lot until just recently. I only found out I was pregnant during a dr visit when they tested me before being put on a new medication. Thankfully I was only 8 or 9 weeks when I found out, but without that dr visit I likely wouldn’t have found out till much much later

I found out when I was 4-5 months. No signs, no weight gain, only ate a bit more than usual. I have a history of amenorrhea (missing periods). Period came 2 times a year so missing a period wasn't anything new. Gave birth last year, Hes now 9 months and my period has regulated.

A friend of mine was 5 months pregnant when she found out. She’d been on birth control pills, kept having periods, had only slight weight gain but she’d always had weight going up and down so that was not a clue and she didn’t really show in front at all. It can depend on the child's position and the position of the placenta. Especially if the person didn't get the proper pregnancy meds because they didn't know they were pregnant, the child could be weaker or smaller.

My mom had periods throughout her whole pregnancy only reason she knew was because she was in a car accident & had to get everything checked out in the hospital. Also my sister in law had periods throughout hers & didn’t find out till she was 6 months.
