Had too much time in college to and very few friends. Thank god the nightmare is over, and at the very least I didn't graduate with any debt.

College was awesome! Adulting is too lonely for the most part. And I went to UM as well - for grad school. Still have many great friends and it launched my career.

Upload more! I sense your channel blowing up soon my friend, if you pump out a video or 2 a week you'll be soaring. I've watched every one, and you are super relatable.

True, as a recent grad I recall as a underclassman I was stressing about prestige and status but as an upperclassman I was striving for balance and harmony

As someone who went to grad school at UMich, I can definitely relate on many grounds, but I think there are differences between college life as an undergrad vs. grad student. I had to take the hardest class in my life (I say this as someone who grew up in a Southeast Asian country with a tough education system and had to write 3 national exams prior to undergrad) at UMich called HG541 Molecular Genetics, which was a challenge even though I had a prior genetics degree. I definitely relate with bonding with classmates over this hard class, hanging out at tailgates and ice cream shops (we were not a partying class or we had just outgrown that phase!), feeling like not having enough time to take advantage of everything that's happening on campus, constant FOMO and Imposter Syndrome because everyone is so competent - but I loved the freedom that came with being a grad student. I didn't have to live in a dorm with roommates (thank God!), I had the autonomy to manage my time & get stuff done, find connections, mentors and resources easily at such a large university, and most importantly, I chose to do this degree in a field that I love. I worked for a while straight out of undergrad, but got burned out quickly because I was enthusiastic about saying "Yes" to everything my boss sent my way, so much so that I was so looking forward to getting back to school. It's so interesting to hear your experiences and how different they are to mine, though we went to the same school!

Lot of Big Egos in college, it was nice to find a group that was down to earth. No alone time, ever.

College sucks - usually the person teaching you hasn’t had any real life work experience. BUT it is a great place to make connections
