So glad you are back and energized after making the hard decision to leave the BSMD program. It can be scary to leave a path you were so dedicated to and starting anew, but with your work ethic, there is no doubt you will be successful in whatever you do! December is a stressful time with finals, but your videos help remind me that in order to be productive and study well, taking care of our physical and mental health is key. Thank you for the reminder to take a break, I also enjoy taking walks and yoga to center myself.

Love the video as always Lyd!! I actually have decided to make a similar choice as you and pursue a PhD path instead in genetics/pediatric rare diseases, as the MD field has gotten…✨interesting✨ and I’m already starting to feel the burnout. I have 3 finals this week and then I’m done for a month! I’m also in the process of making a collegiate ballet company at BU, and I’m also riding to get ready for IHSA show season in March! I hope you have a wonderful winter break and tous les bisous à toi!!

Great job on your videos! ❤. My best (unsolicited) advice is to give yourself time to decide what you want to do. I think it’s unfair to pressure 17/18 year olds to declare majors when they apply to schools nowadays. I guess it’s a pretty recent thing bc they didn’t really do that when I went to college. We didn’t have to declare majors until our junior year which gave us the option of at least 2 years of exploring different areas of study, or confirming what we always wanted to do, etc. good luck on finals and enjoy your much deserved winter break. 😊❤
