Following the IEEE standard, 0.5 should be rounded down to 0, while following the IRS scheme, it should be rounded up to 1. The choice of standard is context specific.

Hi, when dividing the image values, 10/0 should go to infinity, then why didn't you consider the upsampled value? i.e 255 (white)

its clearly written in the important points that if the resulting value is infinity then the pixel value will be taken zero

I think that's how we are supposed to multiply in this case
