Touching on getting in a draft ASAP without being 100% polished is GOLD advice. Throughout this experience, I've learned that my overachieving personality and perfectionism has crippled my ability to move quickly because I'm so focused on doing it right, that I'm slow to jump off the starting line. I've had to repeatedly tell myself "anything worth doing, is worth trying it poorly" and 9 times out of 10, the draft that I beat myself up over or didn't think I did my best in but was tired of spending anymore time on it, proved proficiency and was able to submit for an A without revisions. I'm hoping to take the experiences I've learned in the last two semesters and finish out the last 2 sessions a bit more aggressively. But regardless! Even though my experience has not been like those interviewed, I have still accomplished more in the timeframe with Sophia and UMPI than I would have gone the traditional route. Thanks CollegeHacked for all that you do!!

For the ‘big final project’ is that one big final project for EVERY class you take or just one big final project for your whole bachelors program?
@theoutskirts23 күн бұрын
@SrAntonio301 there not as big as you think. The projects mainly consist of a paper about 6 to 10 pages. Umpi is research and paper driven, in my opinion over multiple choice finals. What I like.

If you can delay enlistment until after you get a Bachelors degree, you can go in as an officer. If you can’t get the Bachelors before going in, start working on it immediately after Basic training once you get to your first duty station. Good luck. N. Green, USN (Vet)

Could you two touch on the pros and cons of postbaccalaureate degrees, please? There is a camp that thinks they are an utter waste of time, and others might want to do a career change on the undergraduate level, so a postbac degree might make sense. Also, do you know of any schools that offer hackable postbac programs? Thanks.
@CollegeHacked22 күн бұрын
A postbacc is just a second bachelors degree, so any school that’s hackable would be a good one! So whichever has the major you’d need. It usually doesn’t make much sense to get a second bachelors degree though. Either get a masters, or be a non-degree seeking student and just take the undergrad prereqs needed for the masters you want.

Great video and roleplay. One term (2 months) is very ambitious to do 10 classes, though I've seen many folks do it. 2-3 terms seems more realistic. Two terms (4 months) would be $3400 for UMPI, even three terms (6 months) works out to $5100. Hard to beat that price. If you have financial aid available, the Pell might be even cover it all.
@CollegeHacked22 күн бұрын
You are so right about the Pell grant, we see clients get their full cost covered with it often at UMPI! 😄

What would be helpful in regards to UMPI is the expected hrs. To complete a class there. For example BUS 200 vs BUS 325. These 2 classes are different but when they were developed for CBE there must be an expected time for completion for each class meaning it should take 10 hrs for one class and it should take 50 hrs for another. I asked this question to UMPI staff but not a single person there could answer the question. For this reason I only completed two classes this fall. I am not fast or great at writing. I am still trying to figure out how someone finishes 10 classes in one term. If there is software or an application that helps with essays please do tell I am all ears.

From speaking with people on Reddit and discord it seems like adult working professionals apply alot of their work experience to the materials. And yes a lot of them are using AI to help them.
@CollegeHacked22 күн бұрын
Not everyone goes fast! But if you continue at 2 classes per term, you won’t be saving too much money 😅 If you haven’t watched our interview video with Michael who went to UMPI, he outlines a great strategy.

Hey, College Hacked. Hope all is well. Currently in the military and I have 15 college credits I obtained before joining the military through another university just last year. I did some research and realized it’d be much quicker with your process and considering on booking a consultation. One question however, if I do Sophia for my college credits, could I use the GI Bill to pay for those as well so it’s not out of pocket? Thanks.
@CollegeHacked20 күн бұрын
Hi! The hacking platforms don’t get paid for by military funds, unfortunately. But the total out of pocket cost for that phase of the plan is almost always under $1,000, and you can pay on a monthly basis, so hopefully that gives you enough wiggle room.

I have 63 credits currently, and my current community college is a pain. Are there any simpler/less restrictive schools that will take my credits and be very close to associates? This channel motivated me and showed me it's still possible to graduate, so if there's any way you guys can get back to me, that would be awesome!
@CollegeHacked18 күн бұрын
Most definitely. Watch the group of videos we have about UMPI. You can apply and send them your transcripts for free to see how your credits will fit into one of their Liberal Studies Bachelor’s degree options. Or TESU if you truly want an Associates instead.

I selected UMPI but, I'm wondering why they would not accept transfer credits for my medical courses. I'm not sure why it would be necessary to take these classes over again. Wondering if this is the right route for me to take.
@CollegeHacked20 күн бұрын
It’s possible the courses weren’t accredited, or that they expired.
@tina-t7s9c20 күн бұрын
@@CollegeHacked It's accredited and they are not expired. It's like they didn't look at the transcript at all and take the time to evaluate it. My courses allowed you to sit for the NCLEX. There are many lab hours and clinical hours I've accumulated. I thought that the new Healthcare Admin would link up well but, it was overlooked. I also have university credit hours. I'm just wondering.

You know how colleges look at high school transcripts for acceptance and not middle school transcripts? Same sentiment! A lot of life can happen between those degrees so it’s sort of a statement of evolution. The most recent info is the most accurate reflection of the person.
