I'm sure they're a good college but I find it ironic that they offer an Artificial Intelligence program when their "chat with a bot" on their website doesn't even answer questions very well. You think they'd hire someone to program more "intelligent" AI software to answer students questions. That'd be an ultimate form of advertisement for them for that program alone if they could accomplish that. Especially if they showcase that someone similar to an AI student are the types of people that designed the programming. Something like,... *This chat bot is designed by one of our very own AI program's students* They'd probably have more students and/or popularity than they could shake a stick at. Like all businesses though, even colleges, money is always one of the biggest obstacles.

It’s a bit overwhelming playing the return to college game. Especially with transferring credits. One thing you didn’t touch on with these 5 schools is how they might evaluate older courses / “expired” credits. I think with pandemic era, there are tons of people with older credits they’d like to apply to a new or finishing degree. Myself included. Also, which programs within respective schools are the best to obtain degrees in? Going bts for a liberal arts degree is a waste of time, unless you just want the accolades of having a degree.
@CollegeHacked2 жыл бұрын
Interesting points, J. Dr. Clifford. After serving over 40 years as a second-gen Christian missionary to Mexico, and having worked as a self-taught BI/ Tableau Developer in the healthcare sector for the last 8 years, I am finding it necessary to once again re-invent myself in order to ensure job safety and security. I am native level fluent in both English and Spanish, so the path of least resistance would be a BA/MA in Spanish. The second option is to continue to build on my existing IT skills and pursue either a BA in Cloud Data or Data Analytics. However, being 60+ and working full-time, the first option makes much more sense. The one caveat is that I need to do it in the least amount of time at the most affordable cost possible. What do you recommend?
@CollegeHacked2 жыл бұрын
Great question. So with the first, there's only so much testing out of a Spanish degree you can do. And same with the second. They are both somewhat limited. So if you wanted to make this as easy as possible, I'd consider finding any old bachelor's degree as long as it's hackable and then using that to leverage you in to an MA in Spanish because I think that will be the easiest. Of course, if you'd rather be making IT money, then I'd go the other direction.

Does it say that you did straighterline courses on the Thomas Edison state university final transcripts? Im trying to get into nursing school and they dont accept straighterline but they accept credits from a regionally accredited university
@CollegeHacked11 ай бұрын
It does indeed. Particularly for the health professions, they usually require residential science prereqs from a regionally accredited school. Which means you should be able to hack classes that aren’t directly asked for by their program as prereqs, though you should confirm that with their admissions team before you do anything :)

What is the best online college if I’ve never been to college, want to do as many classes as I can whenever I want, and has many scholarships available for me to apply to?
@CollegeHacked2 жыл бұрын
Scholarships aren't so common with online school--the price is already so low--but I'd say Western Governor's or UMPI would be your best bet with the latter being my favorite.

What is the criteria for best? :) We wouldn’t recommend a for-profit school, so out of that list: SNHU!
@meg_swag2406 Жыл бұрын
@@CollegeHacked what is really the different between for profit and non? I mean I know they put money in different things but when it comes down to it, do most employers really care if your college was for or non? Or is it more money from my pocket type of situation?
@CollegeHacked Жыл бұрын
@@meg_swag2406 It's more of the latter, but the former can be true too. Employers are sometimes in-tune enough with higher ed that they know the quality of instruction is generally worse at for-profits (as with anything, that's a generalization and not true of ALL for-profits) because the money isn't going back into the students and their experience, it's going to shareholders. If you're at the beginning of this road, it's worth choosing a non-profit to be safe. If you're already at a for-profit and relatively close to finishing, you should likely finish the degree. It's still better to have a college degree than to not have one! ;)

Honestly, THAT is a really good question. I'd need to do some more digging to see which accounting degree has the most free elective requirements in their accounting degrees. I could help with that over a consultation (collegehacked.com), but you could also dig into that and figure out which ones are the most transfer friendly. I hope that helps! Would u recommend a "bigger name " to avoid this issue like a University of Wisconsin, Purdue global Umassdartmouth etc

Sounds like you’d benefit from a “chipotle” degree at a competency based school 😄 That’s a build your own major at a school with classes that don’t have deadlines they just have assignments and you can complete then quickly using the knowledge you have from work and life. The law enforcement stuff will transfer for a good amount of credit usually, but it won’t fit in too many majors apart from a a build your own. The right school/major depends on what your highest level goal is (personal satisfaction? certain grad program? certain job?). Plan from there! 😄
