Thank you very much from Norway, for this beautifull performance. Thank you for each of you,that makes this performance possible. Musicians, singers, but also technicians, and photographer who realized this video. I am sure that you will not only reach our ears, but also the bottom of our hearts. Wherever we are in the world. Take good care of you and each other. Waiting for the next video.......and your new CD allready ordered.

When I shared this, an asian friend of mine in Singapore said "This type of songs makes me cry.. Im not sure why." Me too! I feel a wonderful, tender, cross-cultural and valid dialogue is about to be had... :) And, it works both ways. Latterly some Mongolian music I've heard recently aims deep with its hauntingly beautiful melody and soulful delivery. The power of music to unite on such a wonderful human level :) (particularly Early Music, for me, anyway).

I just received 2 of the 6 masks (3 different styles) for upcoming rehearsals and concerts in May. i play bass trombone. A friend of mine participated in a conducting workshop at the University of Washington, where he as conductor was masked as were all members of the concert band. So glad to see that this cottage industry started up, manufacturing masks for musicians. In IT, the saying goes "Never touch a running system". Good saying. I've been masking for 2 years, keeping my distance and am tripel vaccinated. My "system" is running just fine. Much rather play behind a mask than not wear one and try to breath with a tube stuck down my throat. And yeah, it a -huge- consolation, that only 6% of those vaccinated get seriously ill. Especially when I tick so many of the risk factor boxes. "Well, if it's any comfort, he died after waiting for a lung transplant due to the milder omicron version." No thanks. I'll keep on keeping on.
@t.t.margaux36004 жыл бұрын
With the distance between them I would say the masks are not needed: now we miss the consonants, and the singers lack oxygen
@mattglandorf77624 жыл бұрын
We are learning that the 6 foot distance rule has no effect when singing. It's not just the droplets, but the aerosols that can shoot far further and remain in the air for hours. In fact, it is now suggested that even this might be a risk.

@@mattglandorf7762 All right, thanks. Not a situation that can be tested (ethically)

I am sure the sound was recorded before the video ... I don't see the singers sounding that good with masks... I tried to sing with a mask ... a lot is lost. Those are very well made video clips, don't get me wrong they are superb. But I am pretty sure that the audio was pre recorded. If anyone knows the answer I would be glad to have the answer.
@anetabramborova45364 жыл бұрын
Thank You for this answer... but we really had masks all the time... the sound is authentic...
@jankucera81804 жыл бұрын
I believe the masks are still obligatory, in closed public spaces. No choice.

How ridiculous those masks and the distancing look now. What madness did we live and make music through?
