The reason she is posting so often is that she is trying to speed up the process so that he thinks she did minor things while she actually did a lot of work to the truck. Yes he knows she has the truck but he knows nothing of what she was planning on doing with it.

So here's something you may want to try that I think is better than the 2 bucket stuff. Use multiple wash mitts. I use 3 for a car, one for the top surfaces, a different one for the middle portion of the sides and the last one for the bottom portion of the car. For the front bumper cover it kind of depends on if it has a lot of bugs. If it does I'll use a separate one for that. For rinsing, try using an open ended hose and let the water run over it. It sheets the water off the vehicle and doesn't leave a lot of beads. Less work blowing it off and finish drying.

Before you give the truck back you should do a custom Dyno tune for the truck! To get the most out of your headers I would love to see what it would put down to the tire on pump gas.

I was just thinking to myself "there isn't enough Chris on the channel lately". Then, bam. He has great camera presence. The truck came out amazing. Your dad is definitely going to be (well, I'm sure he saw it before us. So, was?) Super stoked. Great work. Did you clear coat or treat the raw aluminum you vapor honed? It is a pain to keep raw aluminum looking good. It oxidizes rather quickly. Clear anodize is usually your best bet for long term robust aluminum treatment. Major manufacturers avoid it for cost reasons. But, absolutely worth it.

The makeover of your dads SRT-10 looks great. Just a Suggestion, Cerakote works best when you Bake it on, I know they have air dry Cerakote but it doesn't hold up nearly aswell as bake on Cerakote. Their Elite Series colours are also way more durable, they have Clear Cerakote aswell.

You are absolutely right! This project is the definition of scope creep. Funny anecdote, When I was a kid listening to my dad, I thought scope creep was getting Scope mouthwash up your nose 😂. But after building my 55 Dodge I now know what he's talking about. This scope creep is going to be more than worth it in the long run though. That engine bay looks amazing!! Your dad is going to love it! Keep up the great work! PS: Don't get scope mouthwash up your nose. It burns worse than soda! 😂😂
