I heard that the short ram intake is good for low end torque/pep while to cold air intake is better for high end speed for these 1.5 liter Xbs.. I seen this information on the Scion Xb forums.👨🏽‍💻🚗💥🗯🗯 I think I might stick with a short ram intake for that extra low end pep for round town driving.🇺🇸🇯🇲🌴☀️🌴

I've had both. Honestly if my aem cai didnt finally crack after many years I would still have it. I have an sri now but the aem was the shit. One huge thing though, if your slammed you need to make sure the filter is protected of you'll swallow water in puddles.

The short ram set up works about the same as the old setup, but looks way better. There will be a review video tomorrow and the front end rebirth is coming along slowly thanks to shipping delay. :(

Looks good man nice work. Just curious though..I noticed on ur xb and prelude u like to face that seam up on the cone filters. Any particular reason? For some reason this always stands out to me as I personally try to hide that seam by facing it down or whatever. Anyways..appreciate the vids..I had an xa and 91 lude...so I can relate to both ur rides.

The seam is faced up on the Lude because it keeps the Blox logo on the end of the filter level and I was not paying attention to it on the xB :P Thanks for watching!

This looks amazing! How do you avoid getting water from settling on top of the motor and filling up your spark plug holes and fouling your coils? I ran without the engine cover on mine for a few months and kept finding that my plug holes were completely full of water even when it hadn't been raining that hard. (it's not a head gasket problem - just had that done a few months back) :)
