This has got to be THE BEST delay + reverb pedal for a variety of great sounds while both cost- and space-saving. Ideally I'd go with both the Ventris and the Nemesis, but this pedal is so flexible and having both in one simplifies the pedal board. In a lot of ways this is like having 80% of both pedals in half the space for half the price. If you just need a few reverb sounds or a few delay sounds, maybe a different pedal better suits your needs. But to sound THIS good, with so many different reverbs AND delays in one box, you're not going to find that anywhere else for anywhere near this price. As a person who plays both guitar and various synthesizers (not to mention drum and sample machines), I have a definite need for both reverb and delay and this is just a superb combination, an incredible set of effects in a single package. You cannot go wrong with this pedal.

Just got mine yesterday and started messing around with it and let me just say if you need delay and/or reverb this is THE pedal. Very user friendly, and the app is a game changer in and of itself. You can save presets, check out other peoples, and find some neat "secret" functions as well. My only criticism is maybe make the cable that goes from the pedal to the phone longer so people don't have to bend down or be sitting in order to use it. All things considered though this was definitely worth the money and you will not be disappointed!
@johnwing98445 жыл бұрын
idk if this helps but I'm pretty sure that the cable is called a trrs cable and you should be able to find one at any length on amazon ! rock on ! source audio are game changers - more people will realize this after they get over their arbitrary analog obsession lol

@@johnwing9844 the analog delay on here should satisfy them, its so deep its insane, I prefer a clear digital delay or tape echo so I don't use the analog as much but it still sounds great. Sorry about the short-ish cable. The Neuro cable is just a 1/4" to 1/8" TRS cable, so you can pick up 1/4" TRS extension, that would do the trick. Thanks for all the positive words! We're glad you dig the pedal.

My O My did I just find “It?” The one pedal that suits My needs and wants more than any other on the Market. I found SA while searching for a Tremelo. I bought the Vertigo and fell in love instantly. It was a missing effect that has become an almost Always On, End of the Chain pedal. After fiddling around with it and the Neuro app I was hooked on SA. I fancy myself as an ambient shoe gazer fun style of player. At the end of the chain it was so easy to just add an additional TRS cable out to my second amp and Viola, instantly I have a Stereo Rig 😀. The Collider will be taking my Catlinbread Echorec & MXR M-300 Reverb off the board just in front of the Vertigo. I am supposed to receive my Collider in two days so look out cook out here I come. I’ll update my comments in a few but I am so excited I wanted to share it with the world. After all when Josh @ JHS has a video and proclaims the Collider a “ Must Have Two in One Pedal!” That’s saying something. Thanks SA for all you’ve done for us. im not trying to sound like an ass because I totally understand being overwhelmed by too many features in some situations but might I just say that every source audio pedal I have ever used is JUST a pedal with a SIMPLE interface until you plug it in to your phone or computer. If you don't like all of the features than just try their pedals and use them just as they are. all of the basic controls you'd need are right on the pedal' think of everything else as extras that you can totally ignore if you'd like. look at the l.a lady overdrive - 4 knob s and a stomp is all there is and all you need ! you could either ignore the Neuro app altogether OR use it once, make a sound you like and save it to the pedal, then you don't ever have to open the app again if you don't like ! sorry to sound like a salesman or something but I LOVE these guys and too many features just doesn't sound like a good enough reason to give their pedals a shot!! cheers!

The street price of this pedal is $349. No, you can't achieve self-oscillation with the footswitches - you can, however, assign the Feedback knob to an external expression pedal and achieve self-oscillation that way. The Collider is not a replacement for the Ventris/Nemesis combo. If you want the full set of features, we recommend going with the Ventris and Nemesis. What the Collider does offer is the essential tones (a.k.a. "not all the Effect Engines") in compact and sleek pedal with a clean and simple control set. These are the same Tape Delay, True Spring Reverb, Shimmer Reverb, etc, algorithms found in the Ventris and Nemesis, but we boiled the menu down to only the most popular sounds.

Since I couldn't get an answer I bought it XD hahaha. When answer is no, you will have a cut between presets even if you are using the same two algorithms. I was very sad about this and almost send it back. However, I was able to find a workaround by using a single preset and changing parameters via MIDI, in this way there is no cut at all and I'm very happy with my Collider now, it took away my loved Specular Tempus out of my board. But, Source Audio guys, would be great if you allow spillover between presets (at least for the ones using same algorithms).

Go to pg 22 of the manual: “Signal Path Options Cascade Mode The Collider Delay+Reverb’s standard signal path is Cascade Mode, or A -> B. This means that when your guitar signal hits the pedal, it is processed first by Delay, then Reverb, then goes outbound. This is the same as running a delay pedal before a reverb pedal in your pedal chain. In Stereo Out, Cascade Mode always routes A -> B (the Delay side before the Reverb side) through both outputs. PLEASE NOTE: If you’d like to run your Reverb effect before your Delay effect, this is possible in Cascade Mode. Use the “Unlock” feature on the Delay side to select a Reverb engine, then use it again on the Reverb side to select a Delay engine.”

There is a hidden feature that allows you to substitute a second delay in the place of the reverb. For that clip we used two Digital Delay effects. We went with the Digital engine because we wanted as clean a sound as possible to illustrate the rhythmic patterns that you can create with dual delays. Anyway, the two delays are running in parallel, on is set to a quarter note, the other is set to a dotted 8th note - the quarter notes coming out of one amp, the dotted 8ths coming out of the second. When he hits the first chord you're just hearing the quarter notes, he then turns on the second delay that turns on the delay set to dotted 8th - that is when you hear that cool Edge style rhythmic effect.

We know the options are there because the algorithms sound and behave like the original versions, Yet; Source Audio leave Us " the costumers" locked out Of those features. I bought-in thinking the collider wold be exactly what you guys are promoting (A hybrid pedal between the nemesis and the Ventris) but you are not explaining that the Collider DOESN'T HAVE the same menu options as the other pedals, and is a HUGE let down from the company. I would believe this being the case if it was a cheap pedal but at $400 with tax is not an easy purchase for a cut down version of the pedal. It will be great to see the rest of the options in a "advance" menu on the Neuro App both iPhone and Desktop. You are limiting your own gear and brand by not doing that.
