I started crying at school the day after Lexa’s death. It was really hard to get through the day. I know it’s “just a show”, but Lexa was the first lgbtq character I felt I could actually relate to and see myself in. Have a tattoo on my arm and was blessed by being able to meet her at a convention about 6-7 years back

Lexa, and Alycia herself, and the people she inspires (her fans) as a whole has changed my life for the better. I can’t wait to see where her acting takes her in the future. Truly there is no more deserving actress than she for the accolades and awards that I know will be hers one day. Beautiful, kind, funny, and talented is a rare mix in today’s world, and I hope that light that shines from her is never dimmed. 💖

Finally a really really well done interview! Thoughtful and insightful questions, and actually letting us listen to Alycia's thoughtful answers without a million edits and jumpcuts 😭 And please god let there be a sequel, Nikki is a cunning and fierce character who would absolutely fight for her body back and we need to see ittttt

I'm so happy to see this interview! You've always been a great interviewer and have created conversations that are just lovely to listen to (the Yellowjackets cast, Lizzie Broadway) but this one is especially great! I, too, was a The 100 viewer and got introduced to Alycia Debnam Carry through it but seeing how her career has progressed and how you guys discussed it was fun. Can't wait to watch the film because I've seen clips and it looks amazing

Lexa had such a big impact because of her work. She’s such a good actress. It’s still and will be I think forever, one of my favourite character. She represented her so well, you can’t not be attached to her. She’s very talented.

On the topic of LGBTQ+ stories it reminds of how Alicia Clark was supposed to be with Ofelia in fear the walking dead, she was canonically bisexual, but they never touched on it sadly.

The first 6 seasons of The 100 were great. Not sure how JR screwed up so badly in the final season. They should have had the temporal stuff send them back in time to stop the bombs from going off and not the convoluted mess of that final season.

I agree. I also was incredibly disappointed with Eliza Taylor throwing the Clark/Lexa relation under the bus in interviews after the show ended, including her saying she didn't understand why Clark had to kill Bellamy.
@ChrisTheAspergerGuy
@ChrisTheAspergerGuy Ай бұрын
Seasons 6 and 7 felt like a completely different show and not in the good way. Once they introduced the supernatural shit, had the characters scattered all over the place, the body snatching, magical tornadoes, people turning into beams of light, and whatever the hell that entity was that Clarke was talking to, the show went way off the deep end.
@mione134
@mione134 Ай бұрын
@@happykt?? Nobody understood why Bellamy had to die. Jason had a beef against Bob and it translated into the show. That final season ruined the entire show
@bundobee
@bundobee Ай бұрын
@@mione134 the show was ruined way before the final season lol
@mione134
@mione134 Ай бұрын
@@bundobee Lots of people think that. But In my opinion, it should have ended in S5. Heck, even S6. They either should have gone back in time to prevent everything or found a new earth or come back to real earth after it was okay to do so and repopulate. But Jason sucks so we got a whole bunch of lore and information, then crap thrown at a window and nothing. He ruined a great show because he couldn't get out of his way and his own biases. Ah well, the books are better anyways.

It's a shame that he will kill lexa I think he must have had a death like Leonidas in 300, memorably bloody.🧐😅

This movie was hard to understand as far as who the hell was who. I stopped caring about halfway through the movie. The payoff just wasn't there. Meh. This actress is incredibly hot though.
