being a liam junkie i studied the history of northern ireland, and watched his michael collins film and another film called five minutes of heaven. when michael collins died with a bullet in his head, it broke my heart a lil. both the historic tragedy and seeing liam like that broke my fking heart. can't get enough of it, can't get enough of him. wish he had made more movies. but then there's only so many movies one can make and i'll never be satisfied. im sad that he's old now.

Michael Collins is an excellent film. Many of the scenes were filmed in the actual places Collins made his speeches or did his actions. Gives the movie a lot of authenticity. If memory serves, the first movie I saw him in was Excalibur, where his character dies. Memento, that is mentioned in the interview, is tremendous.

I love how they did the movie but they forgot about Lady Hazel Lavery she was also very close to Michael Collins and she the reason there was an treaty the first place her influence in Irish and British politics by helping Ireland and I know for fact she and Michael was secretly in love with each other and there were letters from kitty refer hazel Lavery as his sweetheart and Michael Collins was the last person to see hazel Lavery before he died the day after and before the day of Michael Collins death there was an assassination attempt on Michael and Lady Hazel Lavery shield herself in front of the window to protect Michael Collins and then when Michael and hazel Lavery was in hazel car there were men shooting at both at them and Michael grabbed hazel and thrown her on the floor of the car to protect her and before he went to Cork co he fear that hazel was in danger so he had men to guard her until it was safe and when he died on his body was letter of lady hazel Lavery cover in Michael blood and he had an necklace portrait of hazel and lock of hazel hair
