It's because the FCC and MPA(A) (and CCA in comics for that matter) took up content policing in response to puritanical complainers, who of course never seem to have their priorities straight about what to be in a moral panic about. And through being official, it became kind of normalized, to where it's taking a long time to change, because it's taken for granted that how it is is how it should be. It's arbitrary and stupid because it's designed to appease some of the most immature grownups in the world. Performing any kind of useful function is at best an afterthought.

Spider-Man 4 was going to be street level in Marvel's version. Unfortunately, they lost an argument battle against Sony, so it will be a multiverse movie. You know Sony, always caring about money and not what the audience wants.

DanielBradler That was originally the case. But there was a creative overhaul at some point in the production because what they were doing just wasn’t working. So now it’s two 9 episode seasons instead of one single 18 episode season

so its seperated as 2 season which is 9-9 and I think w that way it'll help daredevil's story will evolve into something that can be sustainable. I know I hated it when I learned too but if you really think if there is a blank space between the seasons (not much) it'll really help the timeline to connect with other characters too as we hope spiderman yayyy
