We have one that is 12 by 36. The current set up is sleeping and living space. We are also considering adding a second one and connecting the two. It really does make a huge difference.

@@wheretheashwoodsgrow When we moved to Texas 7 years ago after losing everything in a flood, I considered buying 4 and putting them together, 2 on top of the other 2, with a patio on top and an overhang on bottom, but my husband refused to even consider it. I’ve seen some really nice designs. It ends up costing about as much as a traditional home but you get more bang for your buck.

a couple more people could stay in that loft if you hate them. Honestly, I'd have redone the layout a bit to make it more space-efficient and tried to design the loft to not feel like a waste of space/afterthought. For example, that kitchen is honestly too big for the amount of people that could live in this thing. Scaling both it and the master bedroom down a little and moving the bathroom down some would open up room for a small 2nd bedroom or office. The loft space could then become more storage space within the room. Dare I say, a bunk bed might could be fit in somewhere.

My neighbor just bought one and says it’s hard to keep cool in summer because of the open ceiling going up to the roof rafters. That’s where they ran the ac ducts right under the metal roof so the hot sun heats up his ac vents. Everything they use is cheap especially the plumbing water lines and the fixtures are trash. He has his whole property for sale now because his little house sucks so bad… 🤷 you get what you pay for I guess…

I wanted to Buy one, from our the local factory. Was planing to place it on pad next to my moms place. I was her full time Caregiver. City planning shot it down, "these ARE NOT BUILT for habitation. Do not meet codes for "dwelling". Windows, doors, flooring. Was really disappointed. This one is very nice. Like the ground floor bedroom, and the loft with REAL STAIR CASE.
