All the shops combined buy the clothes per kilo. So they buy it for very cheap. 1 Dior t-shirt for maximum of 10 lira and they sell it for 300 lira. I went to one shop here for the Prada shoes, he said my last price is 700 lira. In the same bazaar i went maybe a 100 meters further and copped the exact same shoe for 200 lira. Always go to different shops and look who gives the lowest price.

Back in 2019 in Antalya I got 5 pairs of trainers and 4 sliders for 950 lira, it’s mad to see how much things differ depending on which part of Turkey you go.

There has been a huge devaluation of lira since then. In 2019 1 dollar was exchanged at around 5 to 6 liras. Now 1 dollar is worth around 17.5 liras. Keep that in mind

Fun fact: a lot of boutiques & retailers in Turkey actually do sell originals as they say. Most big brands produce their clothes in Istanbul, the factories usually produce more than what the companies have ordered, which they keep to themselves and sell to small shop owners & boutiques in Turkey. You can usually tell from the quality if a piece of Nike sweatpants was produced in the same factory and from the price, since they’re higher than the no name brands but still nothing compared to the ones you’d buy from Nike, despite being the exact same product.
