Crackshoot covers distance quickly and safely. Power Wave forces Sonix to make decisions out of Spindash even if he's not ready yet, and prevents Sonix just standing still. Buster Wolf punishes Sonix for following his gameplan and getting a lead then backing off. Terry answered every problem Riddles was struggling with with Kazuya. The fact that Riddles was able to recognize that, make the swap, and instantly play to those advantages, is absolutely insane. One of the hardest 180s this game has ever seen and a well-deserved win for Riddles.

The end of this set is one of the biggest reasons why sonix will never not be hated by almost everyone in the community. His playstyle isn't fun, it's boring and a farce to watch. He gets beat legitimately and he behaves like he just got timed out.

this is a very spectator biased take, sonix was up 2-0 and got 3 stocked game 3, adapted game 4 to bring it to a nail biter last hit and lost after playing near perfect. Then he was down 3 stocks to 1 game 5, made an insane comeback to make it last hit and lost after a botched airdodge read punish got him killed by terry aim bot. If sonix had won this set he likely would have vs'd skyjay in winners finals and likely would have made it to grands on winners side which he then likely would have won the tournament in which first place prize was 4,506 fucking dollars. Even if he lost every game after this set had he won, he would still have guaranteed himself $1,125. so yes I think he's at least a little bit justified in being upset that he lost. imagine a dropped f smash punish losing you a thousand dollars and possibly $4,506. idk how much you have changed in the last 11 months since you wrote this but I hope you've matured a bit as to not make silly comments like that anymore. also just in case you felt like responding, no Im not a sonix fan, I'm actually a pretty die hard riddles fan, but im also a considerate person to those I don't generally like/know which I promise you is not that hard. tl;dr be considerate of others

Having been watching Riddles since he picked up Kazuya, I think Riddles has become more composed and contained in game, imo a huge buff to mentality and just seeing the situations clearer. Great growth!

Homing attack to bair has become a somewhat predictable setup to players familiar with the mu, so sonix instead opted to go for an airdodge punish, which he misspaced and died for it. I mean, i'm pretty sure he could frame trap him after going for the bair anyway so you're not wrong, moreso just saying I get why he didn't

Yo no soy hater de Sonix, pero esto es lo que pasa cuando eres un jugador de un solo personaje, el rival ya termina conociendo como juegas con el y te termina tomando la medida, cuando Riddles se vio completamente superado en el comienzo terminó cambiando de personaje y los resultados terminaron siendo positivos por qué Sonic no pudo neutralizar a Terry de forma fácil como lo fue en el comienzo contra Kazuya, el Terry de Riddles terminó ganando sus primeros 2 asaltos y al final los acertijos termina dando cátedra en el combate final de una forma fantástica y dándole una lección de humildad a Sonix que la variedad de personajes es buena, una de las mejores remontadas que he visto y la variedad de Riddles termino triunfando.

I can see why people hate on Sonic. Bruh was playing the ball game. I do down B quite a fair amount due to it being mostly safe against shield. But I at least use the grounded move. Up tilt, down tilt and some jabs. It mixes a person up cause they're expecting a spinning hedgehog while I'm trying to play Sonic as if he's a combo heavy character.

Much as I absolutely DETEST Sonic as a Smash character, i can't help feeling respect for the player, Sonix. Playing with the crowd always loudly cheering for his opponent because of the rightful desire to see boring-af Sonic lose, it must require tremendous mental fortitude.
