COLLISION REPAIR PROCESS ON A TESLA MODEL 3 REPLACING THE 1/4 PANEL AND OUTER WHEELHOUSE!

This video shows the collision repair process on a Tesla Model 3 replacing the left quarter panel, outer wheelhouse, C pillar reinforcement and the upper wheelhouse reinforcement. The C pillar reinforcement and the upper wheelhouse reinforcement are replaced as per the OEM replacement procedure for the outer wheelhouse so there is access to replace the outer wheelhouse. A repair process includes rivet bonding using the X-press 800 rivet gun to compress structural 4.8mm rivets, 4.8mm countersunk rivets, 6.5mm structural rivets and 4 different types of flow form rivets including S08,S18,S28 and S38. Great video! Nice to see you protecting the interior. I once had a similar repair on a brand new (5K miles) BMW 550i. Took it to a “European shop” only to see the rear wind screen and left rear door removed with no protection of the interior. The new car looked filthy!! They cleaned it well, but I never understood why they didn’t cover it up instead of letting it collect dust inside a body shop for 30 days.

Hi I’m also repairing a quarter panel on the Tesla model 3.And I saw you put structural adhesive to to a lot of the attaching areas as when I pulled it apart it looks like Tesla had used foam on some of the areas that you put structural and he said to Cheers Yern Western Australia Margaret River

Good Video. Did you not fit the inner structural pieces with the 1/4 because the damage was minimal? Is premixed fiberglass filler not required over the MIG welded areas? Thanks
