On April 6, 2019, artists, curators, and educators convened around questions of belonging, curatorial possibilities, and the role of institutions. Panelists included Bridget R. Cooks, Mildred Howard, and Naima Keith.
The program anticipated About Things Loved: Blackness and Belonging (May 17-July 21, 2019), an exhibition curated by UC Berkeley graduate students around the liberatory possibilities of celebrating blackness and belonging.
