It's called hoarding. We need more of these type of reviews. Many praised frags aren't that great and you'll never finish a bottle if you buy tons of mediocre scents that smell alike. I don't really regret anything I bought because I'm a cheap bastard and buy deeply discounted stuff 😁 Worst case scenario, I use it as a car freshner. I do think we should focus more on quality than quantity and hype.

It’s about time ! I totally agree brother with many of these fragrances that you mentioned. I’ve done a couple of blind buys that I regretted luckily they were on the cheaper side. I tested both Dior Sauvage and La Nuit de l’homme I was not a fan of either one. I got YSL l’homme instead because after testing them I came to the conclusion l’homme was far better in my humble opinion.Nowadays when I hear a stellar review I take it with a grain of salt I try to get a sample even if I have to pay for it. At least I know what I am getting. I am beginning to believe that KZbin reviewers love jumping on band wagon, either that or they get paid for hyping certain fragrance.Keep up the good work.

Great Video man. I so agree with you on Dior Sauvage, and yes even La Nuit, and especially Issey. Every time I look at my own bottles, I have to shake my head at them. It has certainly been a very humbling experience. A very expensive "don't listen to the hype" lesson learnt.

My worst buy was a blind buy of a fragrance called "Burberry Brit For Him" This fragrance made me smell like an old man who had just climbed out of a seasoned hospital bed and bathed down with budget baby wipes, before raiding Grandma's makeup bag and drying off with her body powder pad. I had to spend a whole day with the dry down smelling of Budget Baby Wipes, Grandma's body powder and trace elements of economy line Fly Spray......never again

Hey Bradley! Love the content you present! I agree with all of the fragrances you mentioned except for Sauvage and La Nuit. It did take me a while to warm up to it and I wear it when I want something fresh and a little spicy. La Nuit is overhyped but a great scent nonetheless! Happy 2017!

Jazz Club. And it wasn’t a blind buy. I liked it on paper in the store but when I wore it, the sweetness on dry down was nauseating. I gave it away. Lesson here was always test on skin and wait for the dry down before passing judgement.

Something about YSL I just can't let go of.. definitely still gets me the most compliments such as "I just want to follow you around every where" or "wow, you smell really good" and it's not just once it's usually two or three times within minutes from the person I was around at the time. It's like they can't get over it, they repeat them selves over and over "wowww you reeeeeally smell good". I have females literally wanting to smell my neck again and again. I just wish it was a bit stronger like the older batches.

Bradley - great video. Some of the fragrances you list on here I completely agree with you. Here are a few bottles I have (some are similar to yours) that I regret/don't wear much: 1. Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey - gives me a headache 2. Terre D'Heremes Eau Tres Fraiche - I don't want to smell of orange juice. Better than Terre D'Hermes, but still....not my cup of tea 3. Calvin Klein Reveal - just smells kind of cheap to me 4. Dior Sauvage - I am trying to like this, but it just doesn't do anything for me, and unlike others, I don't get many compliments with this 5. Cartier Declaration D'Un Soir - spicy rose?? No....

I had la nuit all the vintage batches back before the reformulations. Never got the reactions from just regular l'homme. La nuit was always "it smells nice". L'Homme was unsolicited comments from strangers. So I feel ya man on la nuit being hyped. I'm on the fence with Savauge. I do get some reactions, but not anything that sets it apart. I got much better performance from bond no 9 scent of peace for him. Which is very similar, and girls really like it. But I'm not keen to either of the scents. I use chrome sport as a gym scent and golfing scent. It really activates with heat and perspiration. And you're right about good ol chrome. It just works. Highly overlooked fragrance that just gets the job done. Stay warm

Good video. I think people need to make more reviews like this, where they express their distaste for something and risk a bit of heat in the comments. The majority of people may disagree, but for the most part it can be educational. For example: I wish people had given me a more accurate description of the A*Men flankers and how they smell like 90% the same. My biggest regret is Pure Malt, and it's because people always understate how much the scent swims in patchouli.

After reading so many comments on fragrances on all the channels it is so obvious that scents are truly a subjective entity. There is no one perfect fragrance that exists. All that matters is that what you decide to wear smells good to you and hopefully to others. I personally love La Nuit and have a few different batches. I just carry a decant if the performance is lacking. And I have another scent that is inexpensive that no one has ever heard of, so no hype, smells great and garnishes many complements.

Blind buys can burn the best of us.... But I have also opened my eyes and feel in love with a number of fragrances by blind buying... So it’s a mixed bag... I will say, if you do blind buy, be sure that you can return the frag, after opening and perhaps using a few sprays... Most... even retailers, will allow for returns within 30-days and so long as it’s not been used... outside of the first couple sprays...

Hmm ... I do not have a massive collection, I think it barely jumps the 45 Bottles ... But the fragrances I regret purchasing are: A*Men, (I have no idea why I pulled the trigger on that one...), Cerruti 1881 (I had a sample, and it was amazing ... went to buy a full bottle, retail, and it was never the same ... like, ever), and lastly, and I definitely agree with you, Sauvage ... (full retail for €95.00, it does smell OK, but the performance is terrible ... I've never received one compliment, not even a single one, with that ... ) ... But, I was pretty lucky with blind buys, and funnily enough, all of the above, I smelled them in stores before buying ... Ah ... forgot 1 Million ... I gave it to my brother just ONE day after purchasing ...

My hunt for La Nuit de l'Homme Vintage in my surrounding was so serious. I got the first 2014 batch 100ml (85 dollars) (brand new), then one day I went to a small store and the guy had a used 60ml tester. I paid 70 dollars for that 50 ml left in it. Is it worth the hype? TRUST ME, IT DOES. The reactions to it are very true. Some girls don't like it but are very few. The 2017 batch SUCKS big time, barely 2 hours and vanishes = biggest scam ever. I hope you find the vintage La Nuit one day.

I always thought this weather exclusive wear thing is nonsense like you can wear or at least speaking for myself i wear whatever i want all year around, for example i wear dior homme intense in the summer and still i don’t choke people whatsoever it just smells great, but then seeing he wears terre d’hermes “eau très fresh” which means in french “really fresh water (juice)” in the winter, that just confirmed my thoughts about this whole concept of fragrances that you cannot wear in the summer or in the winter, sure some work better in the cold but you still can whatever you want at anytime, yes even joop homme in the high heat !

Dude, are you wearing these correctly as far as amount of sprays, season, etc.? La Nuit is an intimate fragrance and I doubt you've gotten negative feedback, especially from females. La Nuit isn't a crowd pleaser. Sauvage generally garners positive compliments when it lingers and leaves a scent trail but it's not an intimate fragrance. Hermès creates spectacular scents and Tres Fraiche functions best during high summer heat or after gym, very hot showers. I've also felt the same way about fragrances but they're almost always cheapies and rarely solid designer scents, especially not the three you've suggested. I suggest you continue to wear these three fragrances appropriately and guarantee they will grow on you. Finally, I hope you're not just saying things to get your subscribers to enter into dialogue with you by creating controversy since your reviews are quite consistent within the mainstream community.
@randaldominguez41397 жыл бұрын
Fernando Blanco I was going to say the same thing to him. Lol. You have a point bro. Fragrances like L'eau D'Issey, Terre De Hermés Eau Tres Fraiche, and La Nuit De L'Homme are more mature scents and have to be worn in appropriate settings. I don't think he was wearing them properly. For example, I bought a bottle of the original L'Homme by YSL about 5 years ago and I didn't really like it, the main reason was because I was pretty young(I was 15 at the time) and today I wore it and absolutely loved it. I'm almost 20 and am starting to appreciate more mature scents. I think it has a lot to do with age. For example, a 13 year old would hate the smell of A*Men but a 20 years + man would appreciate it a lot more. I agree with you that he should give these fragrances a chance and wear them properly.

L'Eau d'Issey has always been my most complimented fragrance, especially by older women. They simply go crazy over it! Unfortunately, I forgot it in my carry on luggage at the airport and the authorities took it away from me. I never really loved the fragrance. It was always too astringent for me. I did get the Summer edition 2009, which I absolutely love! You should try it. Not sure if you'd like it though, because it plays down the citrus and beefs up the florals. Cheers!

I really regretted buying Hermes Terre d'Hermes EDT. It received almost as much hype from the fragrance community as YSL La Nuit de l'Homme, so I was stoked to buy a bottle. On me, Terre d'Hermes lasts the lesser of 30 minutes before it becomes a skin scent. And even during that half hour its projection is so weak that I can barely smell it on myself, let alone others. On the contrary, Leau d'Issey Pour Homme works insanely well for me. In fact it's one of my all time favorites. I can't get enough of its Yuzu note. If you plan to get rid of yours, please send it to me. I can bear the shipping cost.

I regret paying £190 for 100ml of Epic Man by Amouage. I wanted a niche fragrance, but didn't have much clue and regret it a lot. Not a bad scent, but if I had known of Aventus or Reflection Man at the time...

Issey was a bad pick for you? Wow. That cologne is amazing. I get a lot compliments off that cologne

Biggest Regret: Joop! (Candy in a bottle) Oh man oh man! The only two GIANT bottles I went through and have back ups are Eternity and Curve (Men). So cheap yet they work for me.

Hi Bradley, funny enough the Frangrancenet advertisement was on your weather page. I regret the following: Channel Allure, Dior Homme, Armani Code & Unforgiveable... As for La Nuit, the older versions were way more incensy. I only have the current EDP version (black bottle) which is fine but not to the previous standard.

la nuit used to be amazing. Ferragamo F Black is a better performance option now for cheap and smells jus as good.

G Nye i have received numerous and unsolicited compliments from co-workers wearing F-Black never ever I repeat never ever with La Nuit. It doesn't matter the batch either whether it's 2011 or 2013 and especially not 2015.
