Was in Cartagena in 1986. Swimming like an idiot ducking waves . Before I knew it I was being pulled out by the tide. Was beyond one of those rock piers . The whole beach was screaming at me , I couldn’t swim back in, a local ran to the end of the rock wall with a dingy on a 20 foot rope , he had one shot at me as as I was quickly being pulled out, he hit me and pulled me into the rocks. All bloodied up as well as in shock . Buddy saved my life . Emptied my wallet for 5hat dude.

I love watching your videos and feel that me and you are quite similar! One of the traits my friends complement me for is my ability to become friends and blend in anywhere I go. I have been in plenty of dangerous situations, however I have never been in any trouble. I know my luck is going to run out at some point, but I will enjoy every moment until then. Brazil has some rough areas, but i loved Brazil so much i’m working on dual citizenship. Seriously, the rough areas have the best food I’ve ever had. If you’re in Brazil and see a rustic looking restaurant, go inside and try the food. So good it will melt your fucking soul.

Interesting about the police search. When I was in Bogota I was stopped for a search. They were quite rough until I opened my mouth and spoke and they realised my accent was not Colombian. As soon as that happened the whole vibe changed and they became really friendly. They did still try to confiscate some perfectly legal items but I was able to talk them out of it!!

You’re still young, you still have so much time to shape your life how you want it, to become the person you want to be. You can do it man, I believe in you. Start now. and as my old football coach used to tell me: “Leave everything on the field!” Don’t carry regret with you when it’s all said and done. What have you got to lose? Fight the fear one day at a time. You don’t have to do it all at once. Take small steps and you will get to where you want to be eventually. They say the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step... do something that scares you daily, even if it’s small, like saying hi to a stranger when you’re on a walk, doing small steps to get your business started, etc. Get going brother, you got this

It’s okay to fall and sometimes you’ll be down for a little while, but the important thing is to keep going. Those periods where you’re down will also shorten and you’ll be able to pick yourself back up more quickly - you’ll realize when you’re in a rut. At the same time, naturally, your periods of progress will increase and you’ll be almost always moving towards a better you.

You are 100% correct. I was lucky enough to visit in Brazil and I had similar experiences. Just an example, I was told there was a lot of crime and not to walk around with a Cellphone or camera. Meanwhile walking around in normal places in the daytime, everyone was walking around with Cellphones and I was taking pictures with my camera. I had no problems.
