Agree but careful work round his current pimples and spots as well would have prevented it. Mind you, ingrown hairs are common but maybe a change of tact around the affected areas like a foil shaver. But more prep work is needed. Hot towel prior to shaving

There are two things to note for the shave IMO: -yes I would have benefited from more prep, for sure. -my skin was already in a bad state (a few pimples and stuff) from the previous shave. I don't think I would have been that irritated any other day
