Colonel Bailey Memorial | Srirangapatna

At the Lalbagh, to the east of the entrance there is a monument erected in memory of Col. William Bailey. This monument was erected in 1816 CE, by his nephew Lieut. Col. John Bailey, Resident at the court of Lucknow. This structure has an inscription stating the purpose of the erection.

This artillery depo resembles to Bangalore artillery depo. Many people say there is a secret tunnel from Bellary fort to Srirangapatna.
