One thing you have to realize in this game is that there is no way the points could ever be set the way you left them because - the point are never set to anything at all. As you noted previously, you essentially "steer" in this game. You will follow the track that the left/right indicator indicates and always need to change that if it is not the way you want to go.

Hi Col. Failure. One can make tons of money with Cargo: just have multiple concurrent contracts on your train. I started a game in the North and as I was making my way south i kept taking more contracts (as long as they were aligned with my general direction). You can have up to 12 wagons with the starter locomotive. At one point I had 9 wagons for three contract. I also chose to deliver the contracts Manually. Which means I had to figure out how to disconnect the proper wagons. The interface for Manual delivery is very intuitive and logical and bug-free.

It's a good job there are no AI trains, The way colonel failure drives he needs all the tracks, All the points/ signals because no one knows which direction or track/ platform CF is actually going to arrive at his destination or even if the train will actually stop. If the devs need their game tested then colonel failure is the man to do it.

I expect that the hired violent train driver seems to be crap is because she's raw, unskilled, has all sorts of skills to level up and is never intended to be a substitute for running routes yourself. Maybe when she's both violent and grizzled with some skill points and levels, maybe she isn't keeping 66% anymore and maybe she's making more money per trip, much like unlocking the discounts in Car Mechanic. I would predict though that no matter how much of a hulking monster of a driver you made Miss Violent, she wouldn't be so good that you'd just sit in a siding and let her play the game for you. There would no longer be a motivation to drive a train yourself if you could just replicate your own earning potential over and over.

I like the night sky texture in this, Germany being a little further north but not hugely I was really hoping to spot some recognizable northern hemisphere constellations twinkling away, but I didn't. I need to realize, this is not intended to be night sky simulator. Still, it's pretty complete with dark sky smudges suggesting of brighter naked eye nebulas and galaxies. It's pretty and that will be enough.
