Solved by "DNA"? Absolutely no specifics on what was found, and where? Sounds very fishy to me. A favorite tactic of inept police is to pin the blame on a dead person who obviously cannot defend themselves and then claim the case is "solved". This gets the family and TV crews off their backs and improves their statistics.

In my opinion, someone powerful is involved. If not, it would be investigated who may have done but may harm someone in power. That's what I think is going on here.
