Night and day are COMPLETELY different experiences in the French Quarter. During Mardi Gras, the streets are so packed full of people, you can hardly get through. There is a lot of crime there, a lot of homeless people, lots of poverty.

A friend told me not to wear your expensive shoes or good stuff while walking around in the city. Not to stray in the side streets and be on guard. She grew up there. Sad , a beautiful area! Be safe, you two, and stay hydrated! ❤❤

Lucky thats all he seen. 😂 Go to Bourbon street at night & especially for Mardi Gras! Used to be so much fun years ago, bc of so much crime I quit going. But....there Are safe places if you know where to go.

Thank you for the tour. I have never been there. After Katrina the phone company I worked for sent many techs to replace poles, wires and connect to people’s home. They said the people were very thankful. Many that their homes were demolished and they were living there were the most grateful.

I worked Katrina relief back in 2006. It was an experience I will never forget. I ended up getting heat stroked and exposed to mersa. but I will never forget the people I met.

Hi from Michigan. Flash flood watch till Wednesday night still from Beryl. Glad you found a little time to relax. Watch for pick pocketers. Don't stand too close to anyone. They are all over there.

It's a beautiful city has a great Zoo & 3 big beautiful Parks, Aquarium & Insectarium. Unfortunately; keep your eyes 360 especially down town & certain area's.

I have a friend that lives there. I grew up with him. If I’d known you were there you could have met up with him. He lives close to the French quarter. He loves meeting new people, it’s the social worker in him! Love watching your videos!

Many years ago, I went to New Orleans a very famous Sax player whose name was Boots Randoph came out of a lounge on to the street and just started playing his Sax I was a great fan of his and was beyond words wonderful time we had ....We partied all night on B. street more than once years ago but times have changed like many places in our Country...

Thank you JLR and Magnolia. Love 💗 this welcome to NO. Born and raised here. Please be careful in FQ lots of crime here. We could keep you really busy. Best food @ Mr. B ‘s Bistro and at Brennans. Yes it’s hot and humid all summer. April and October are good months to visit because not so hot. Have a drink at Pat o BriensPatio bar. Get some coffee at Cafe du Monde. Been watching your videos since Idaho. Excellent work. Keep it coming.

Gordon Biersch has some really good fish tacos. The other restaurants under Harrahs parking garage are also pretty good. But there are better restaurants uptown on Magazine St. Take the ghost tour in the evening as the sun is going down. Galatoires is the best place to eat.

Commander's Palace has great food, too, even after all these years. Felix's for late night, early morning in the Quarter. Lee Harvey Oswald lived in a house on Magazine St.

They have Brock streets & Elvis filmed King Creole there. A streetcar named Desire & a helluva lots of Musicians,Singers, much much more!!!❤❤❤

I love New Orleans! My ex husband was stationed there in the navy in early ‘80’s. We were there for 5 years. We lived on the other side of the river. I could watch the fireworks every night from my daughter’s window from the world’s fair. It was so awesome!!!

Be careful. Born and raised, I used to work down there and rat the streets when I was younger. Especially these days, even if you're being safe, you're still not of others' craziness. Watch out for bullets, if you hear any altercation, immediately leave.

I ate alligator & crawfish there for the first time & went out in a boat for the alligator tour. Tons of gators.... They fed them raw chicken so they were gathered around the boat.

Was there back in March for Spring Break.....I just wanna know how hot and humid it is there NOW lol. in March it was fantastic weather, low humidity, not hot.

I live right outside of New Orleans across lake pontchartrain……but work in the city, just blocks from where y’all were….in the central business district. Unfortunately, it’s best to stay out of the French quarter at night. It’s sad how bad the crime is in the city…..stay safe!
