I really enjoyed getting back into Total War: Warhammer 2, and the Empire rework in Mortal Empires is proper awesome. Might give that a go on a livestream. I'm making a few non-ArmA videos to give myself some breathing space and relief as I'm currently trying to get a new house.

That or the Crocodiles are getting in on the action again. And a friendly reminder to anyone perusing the tourist trails of Australia. Yes the Platypus looks strange, Yes its teeth (unlike many creatures in Australia) are harmless to people. Don't Pet The Platypus. It has Venomous spurs and will stab you. Just stay back: unless you see the spiders, at which point hide BEHIND the Platypus. Its kin have survived the spiders far longer than humans have. But watch out for the Crocs. The Dinos got eaten by the spiders, but the Crocs live on, that is a sign of just how dangerous THOSE are.

You can read the stories about the hunters in the screen that shows you their current missions, and it adds more as you complete more of their missions. You can read the story about that red-haired vampire that the Witch Hunter killed in that pop-up as you progress through his missions.

The Empire isn't as xenophobic as you think. Halflings (which are annoying, thieving, and gluttonous bastards, rather than Tolkien's pretty likable Hobbits) live amongst Humans, they have a strong alliance with the Dwarfs, a less prominent one with the High Elves, and frequently use Ogres as Mercenaries in the lore. Against other races, like the Wood Elves and Lizardmen, they have a more neutral approach (though they don't know much about the latter, nor do they have much contact). The only non-human races they actually *hate* are Beastmen and Greenskins, for obvious reasons, the Dark Elves, because they enslave people and raid the Empire's shores, as well as anything Undead or Chaos-related. They are also hostile towards Skaven, but they have a massive conspiracy in order to suppress information about them (that's where the "Ratmen in the Sewers? Don't exist." coming from), because a literal empire of billions of crazy, technologically advanced Ratmen living right beneath their feet would cause a bit of a panic among the populace. Well, an Alliance between the Empire and the Skaven (whose existence the Imperial government actively *denies* to the point where everyone mentioning them is thrown in the loony bin) wouldn't happen in the lore, which makes what happened here even funnier.

Sigmar and the shite leading up to it should've been the "what if". I can see what they were trying but it was done so badly and instead of introducing it as a separate game type from WHFB they dropped a really fun - albeit difficult to.market for.beginners - table too game for another skirmish game. Seriously man the way it all went down makes me salty enough to preserve meat throughout the winter.
