Man coming back to this videos makes me sad. Seeing how the game, while it has added new shit like classes and turrets, has overall degreased into a glitch ridden mess is horrible. Even on the most modern hardware it’s impossible to get a match that isn’t choppy.

I actually enjoyed this game, even with the sudden shift in difficulty after Haven Base, but I can't blame him for stopping after Nueva Tortuga. I nearly dropped the game after that mission as well because it was such a massive headache to get through and micro manage. I pressed on anyway just to say that I finished it (and wanted to justify the purchase ngl) and I was pretty satisfied with what came after. Its that mission and another one later in the game where the pace of the game just screeches to a halt that kills the fun vibe it has. Edit: Also, minus points for replacing SkyNet with Legion. I know its what they call them now because of Hollywood, but the setting game screams Terminator Salvation to me.

For anyone reading this, the Cdlc is at a point where it's just low-key mediocre but not outright broken, Most if not all of the stuff shown here has been fixed. Quality is nowhere near as good a globmob, but if you really like the 80s setting, and of course, cezch stuff, then it'll be good enough for you. I do have to say, just Gabretta (the map) is worth full price, that's how good it is, but maybe that's just me. Biggest issue you'll come across is not finding people to play this with.

No way in hell would I have the skill or patience for this game, but hot damn it's a joy to watch.

Saw a different youtuber play the game for the story/cinematics, they probably played it on medium or easy but the biggest difference that I saw between them and Rimmy was definitely the way they played, Rimmy treated it more like a general rts or even world in conflict, where the other treated as a scavanging rts. The amount of troops and also equipment that both had were definitely not the same.

Every saint was probably a foul mouthed sailor before being cannonized.

İ think the game would have been much better if it relied on more fast-paced and careful strikes in its missions instead of expecting you to take on the enemy head on. You’re supposed to be taking on the terminators, they outgun you and outnumber you, and you shouldn’t be expected to topple them in most scenarios. If you, whoever you may be, are interested in this sort of gameplay, İ would recommend Xenonauts 2. It’s not an RTS, it’s turn based, but it places heavy importance in your units, it is built for you to take on the much more powerful enemy in a careful and well-planned manner, and you’re not expected to take on the most powerful units in swarms on day one of your campaign. My one complaint is that the missions can get repetitive at times, but İ’m not above enabling cheat mode sometimes. The game’s come a long way, and it’s in a great state currently. For the first time in a long time, you may actually be able to beat the game. See you around, Mme Abyss. İ hope to scream into you again soon.
