Do the different pheromone symbols have meaning to them, or are they just drawn randomly?

Artist here! Yes and no. The memoku are not a written language but an ephemerial resivour of raw experienced information. Their visual representations are simply how the Sekuta perceive them, and can not be directly translated. Being said, each memoku has subtle visual cues that reflect the memories within and who created it. Sometimes, Sekuta carve cartouches for important memoku so the glpyh will assume a useful shape.
