I'm having a hard time figuring out if i'm cool or warm, some people have told me I have yellowy skin and warm eyes, and other that I look great in fuchsia... All that I know is that pale colours drain me..."

For me she is clearly more on the cool side(4:45). She looks great in black and the typical warm colors like brownish orangy colors(3:44) doesn´t work well for her in my opinion. I would say her skin tone is more a light olive. She looks like Anne Hathaway and Anne Hathaway is a winter(cool) 4:46 cool colors looks more in harmony with her skin tone then the warm colors 5:08 0:28 imagine her with golden earrings and a big golden chain around her neck and then in silver, what do you think? Go and watch if you find Anne Hathaway in her mustard colored jumpsuit looks nice on her(I say no).

She does resemble Anne H.s coloring at first glance but I think Jen is right. This girl is more warm than cool. Anne is more cool than warm. I think they’re both neutral, one leaning cool, one leaning warm. This girl just looks healthier in the warmer colors. And I think the black looks disconnected from the rest of her face.

@@BbGun-lw5vi Let`s try another way to see if she´s more cool or warm. Take her photo and went to a optical glasses online shop and try different color frames of glasses. Try the warm yellowish orangy havanas and the more cool dark brown havanas. The less orangy yellowish particles inside the frame the better for cooler colortypes(I´m wearing myself a Hackett Bespoke Dark Havana frame). Try burgundy vs tomato red. Also I have tried a navy blue vs a petrol blue. Jen is right when she sayed she needs bright and deep colors but I think she´s not right with warm...just my 2 cent. Btw: This girl has a fantastic face shape for glasses.

Clear/bright cool deep. See her natural lips a cool light baby pink, not apricot or salmon like or something similar, eyes cool cocoa. Skin looked patchy (slightly reddish) with Bright & warm, just my 2 cents. In contrast to the slight reddish skin in warm colours the skin might look slightly neutral in cool colours. Look at it without the comparison. You will see.

I have to disagree here. I think the warm colors are awful and have no harmony with her other than with her eyes. The cool bright colors make her pop and look great with her contrast. I think perhaps you may put to much weight into the eyes in the analysis. Deep winters (bright cool deep) can have some warmth to their eyes as they tend to be neutral cool. She also has no warmth in her hair. I feel she looks washed out in the warm colors. Another note: Deep winters can wear that olive color well.

I felt the same. Despite whatever tones are in her eyes, against her skin I liked cool bright shades more. I think the other thing throwing me off is the orange lips. I don't think anyone would look good in that.

Hallo Caterina, what is your favorite color and what is the most worst color you didn´t like(on you)? Do you wear golden or silver jewellery? For me you are clearly a cool color type(deep winter). Explanation above. The saturation is a choise of witch person you are. I think if you are an extrovert person you can go bright and shiny, are you more introvert then go muted. The main important think is to know if you are cool or warm.

@@caterina4997 You are absolutly right with darker colors, but please take the cooler ones. I have tested with your photo (windows 3D paint program)with a warm red and a cool red and in my opinion the cool red looks better with your skin tone. With the warm red your skin looks more greyish. Go on google pictures search Sandra Bullock red carpet, also dark hair and dark eyes. She´s looking best in darker colors(I like the dark blue oscar dress on her). There are also pictures from her in a grape colored dress(cool) and one in the tomato red(warm), what do you think she looks better(more in harmony)? And there are pictures from her in a silver nude dress at the Golden Globes(when she is wearing a bang) and a beige dress. And you are right, lighter colors washed out people with dark hair and dark eyes(looks only good when they are tanned) If you want to wear warm or lighter colors I would commend to wear it as a skirt or pant but not on your upper body part. I think dark blue looks stunning on you :-)

@@october65-h6e thank you so much for taking the time to answer! I've always prefer cool colors so I tend to dress with them. I agree with you, Sandra Bullock, and in other comments said Anne Hathawy, are both deep winters... I will continue to move in the spectrum of dark colors, which I know do not fail :)

@@october65-h6e kindly help me too, i am super confused I think i am olive but i have redddish cheeks , purple and reddish veins in arms and pink palms and nails but got olivee green veins in my wrist I love wearing bright colors i think muted colors makes me look old

Sorry, but I have to join all those who say she looks better in cool colors. And, I should say much better..She is clearly more on the cool side. Her face gives me a cool feeling. It doesn't really matter if she has some yellow in her skin or not. She just has a cool feel about her. In cool colors she is more interesting and sophisticated. They bring out her nature, I think.

Found this one really helpful - My coloring is identical to hers. Pinks/purples/reds with blue undertones make me look dead, but I’m very high contrast and pale so I could also be mistaken for cool in certain light.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree. She looks great with the darker colors you used at the end, but I think she looks better with the magenta and royal blue than with the yellow and mustard you used. Maybe because she's olive, the warm yellows and greens are tricky with us, they bring out that quality in our skin and make us look a bit sick. I personally have been trying to figure out my colors/season for a long time and I have pretty much decided to give up and pick and choose from different types.

I also think she's olive. The trickyest skin undertone... I am olive too and I spend so much time not knowing if i am cool or warm. Warm colors make look us more yellow and sick, and magenta and colors like this are too strong and make us grey. I notice that when the color is close to neutral on the spectrum, it fit better for olive undertone.

Me too… I look great in dark orange but mustard makes me look like I’m going to puke…. I choose the colours from warm autumn and bright winter that suit.. with more subdued, neutral colours and mixed colours (not primary ones)

I think she is definately cool toned. The warm colors don't look good at all. Her eyes also are cool. Sure, with in the light they have some warmth, but it is not obvious. The main impression is cool. Perhaps she is a deep winter (so neutral cool) with some hints of deep autumn. It's a flow season after all.

@Buttercup Then try a cool soft medium palette. It's a go-too for light cool olive. Like Lily Collins or Rachel Weisz looks and make-ups. Petrolium, Navy, boysenberry, neutral medium or deep green, velvety burgundies or cranberries are beautiful with that combo of features. Matte and satin finish are really elegant for this colour story.

@ButtercupLight cool olive have that almost phosphorescent quality to the skin: Audrey Tautou, Fan Bing Bing, Rachel Weisz, Lily Collins. Watching the neck is a key: you can see a green cast. Light warm olives: Mila Kunis, Alex Anele

Definitely bright! I would have in the old 12 seasons maybe put her into bright spring oder bright winter category... it’s subtle her undertone which tells me she is more neutral

I have a very similar coloring to the girl in the video (brown-black hair, deep eyes with olive-yellow parts with daylight illumination, very pale, slightly golden skin) and I classified myself time ago under the same category that you give her (a bright, warm and deep in your system, a deep autumn in the 12 seasons system). I think she would look spectacular in olive green under daylight (trying the color on the picture is not as effective, although it is enough to get her coloring), as it picks colors from her beautiful eyes. I would like to see this client's color analysis re-done since there are so many people who disagree (I myself think she may be a cool Winter, possibly more toward a Soft & Cool Winter). If she could be draped in a wider array of colors (warm and cool, soft and bright) and have the very prominent photoshopped lipstick colors removed, I think that would help people to better formulate their opinions (either way - warm or cool).

Thank you for your feedback. We don't do seasonal color analysis so, I don't exactly understand the nuances between all the winters. What you see on the video is not the entire analysis process but what is shown for a short video. The client is very happy with her analysis and colors. I work with the clients after these calls to make sure we have it right. But I'm not going to redo this just because the viewers don't agree. The color analysis was for her and there is more behind the scenes than this video.

@@YourColorStyle I do see how she is a warmer tone. My husband has the same complexion: eye color, hair color, skin color and when I buy him clothes, it's exactly like the girl in this video. Now, for me I want to get my color analysis done just because I feel like I am a tricky one.

I think the very intense lip color makes it difficult. My professional color analysis (“Color Me Beautiful”) was done only with the drapes, and no makeup whatsoever.

I think the problem is that this system only has bright or soft and I think she is in between and is cool. I would put her as a deep winter which has the brightness turned down a bit but is not soft.

@@missbee980 Exactly my wardrobe! I found the key was picking medium-deep colours, cool leaning neutral, and bright slightly toned by brown (not gray). If I want to wear warmer colours, I go for really desaturated light-medium ones (like chartreuse-green, light olive green, mauvy or greeny-beiges, champagnes, light beigy-gold, cream) and pair it with bold and rich cool colours to create contrast. Light champagne + burgundy, raspberry + rosewood, boysenberry + medium blue, champagne + eggplant

She looks exactly like me with my natural hair color. When I first saw her I was sure she is cool but in the last picture she looks gorgeous with the deep colors :) I still can't figure out what I am especially when I am no longer with my natural hair color.

I appreciate this analysis. I have dark hair and eyes and yellow undertones and also very light skin. I suspected that I am bright, warm, and deep; however, most of the examples shown are women with darker complexion. Now I see that I can have my coloring and be considered deep. I really do look very nice in those deeper autumn tones. My hair is turning from salt and pepper to more salt than pepper! I think that I can still wear the bright tones, and I prefer them to the soft ones, although I can wear them, too. My opinion is confirmed by your comment that the bright warm deep shades and the soft warm deep shades are very similar.

The main characteristic for this girl is deepness of color not warmth or coolness. The deeper color the better. Like her hair which is warm but very dark and due to its darkness looks cool but it consists of very dark warm hues.

I still can't figure out what I am... My skin appears fair pale with NEUTRAL olive and I also have gray eyes with spots of green in them.... I am so confused it's driving me nuts....

Great photo comparisons! Thank you for this information. As a person who was color analyzed by Carol Jackson back in the late 80s, I just wanted to commend how well people in the past recent 10 or 15 years use this theory at least when it comes to combining their cosmetic choices with what they are wearing. I have found that sometimes sheer boredom with sticking with the main pallet Limiting, but in all cases it’s usually better to sort of trend towards the undertone of the clothes you are wearing if you’re going to be a pallete crosser :)

Any strong color seems to be ok. Strong coloring in general. Out with pastels and everything goes. My diagnosis: Strong coloring. Does not excist, but I am also. Skip all others. As seen here people discuss and disagree. Then it does not matter that much If the difference is so subtle.

She actually looks amazing in magenta… a bright warm skin tone could never look that good in magenta… I guarantee you if she was draped in person her natural lip would look bright & healthy in magenta And her natural lips would look dull in mustard yellow.

I also really struggle with working out if I’m warm or cool. I’m 46 and I live in Ireland. I have yellowy brown skin, brown eyes and naturally dark brown black hair which I dye honey blonde. Pastels drain me , but warm oranges, yellows and browns also make me look ‘muddy’’, even when my hair is not dyed, My veins are blue green and I look good in both silver and gold jewellery. I don’t know if I’m Soft, Bright or Muted! It’s so hard to work out. Please can you help me?

My entire life I thought I had warm skin tone. Now I think I'm cool or neutral? Dark brown eyes (almost black) and very dark hair (born ) Skin tone medium. The best colors on me are emerald green, royal blue, White, Cream , periwinkle, black, olive. Any sort of beige tones or golden blonde hair, copper hair, look awful- however, Platinum hair looks ok. I like both gold and silver jewelry against my skin. Help!

Sounds like you’re a deep or classic winter. Or in Jen’s system: Bright, cool and deep. If you have the app procreate you can upload your photo and change the color of your top to figure out your colors. You can learn to do that in less than 10min.

I think she looks better in the warm colors. What would be helpful is to compare a cool yellow vs an warm yellow and compare a cool blue to a warm blue and without changing the lip color, I found that distracting
