Great explanation. But i got even more confused. Because the first time i heard the word "tint" in my life is with car tints. And car tints are usually dark-ish in color. Soooooo... somebody explain this to me?

Great question and I had to look this up myself! But it turns out it's still correct, it's just the reversed way of depicting it. So when you tint your windows if you have 0% tint it would be black and the higher the percentage the more clear it becomes. So the more you tint your windows the more clear it would be just like if you tint your colors the more white it would become! hope that makes sense =]
