The mixer minion is a slow production unit. You could have the green and blue ink go into two of them and then merge the cyan. If it was fast, it would be pretty op because you would have 1 u/s of blue and green, so 2/s of cyan, a much stronger ink. Without upgrades you seem to need one mixer per engine, so that makes engine upgrades worth it if you don't get the mixer tree. Also shield boys are nice during bosses too because they block all the chaff when your units focus the boss. Also, you seem to need very few of them, just enough production to get a full circle, as long as they don't get rekt. I think if you had had an equal amount of archers during the boss you would have died.

15:00 why would you delete an entire half of your line, rather than just take the ink off of one half of it? That's just wasted production. It's also objectively a bad decision to only have 1 of them running, the other existing line that has two motif makers in it was producing way more despite not having any ink in them. You just intentionally hamstrung yourself for absolutely no benefit. The reason why it switched from +120% to 0% is because the supply of your shapes wasn't consistent, so when it was waiting for the shape it needed, it wasn't working, so it couldn't benefit from the ink. You were literally doing twice as much work before, and now you're struggling with the boss because you weren't scaling anymore. Also, you've totally forgot to use your duplicator except for the one at the beginning 😅

The green and blue pipe can supply multiple mixers - two mixers can permanently supply two engines.

i think a great mashup of factory builder and tower defense game would be a similar approach to what ive seen in dyson sphere program. you have to first get the resources to produce the towers, but after you built them, you also have to produce and feed the needed ammunition into them. so that would be way to do it, by having different types of towers that might need different resources to maintain them and allow them to keep shooting, like ammo that first has to be produced in factories out of harvested resources and then constantly fed into machine gun turrets. but also stuff like energy towers like laser turrets that have to be connected to a power grid and building components for that grid like the cabeling has to be done factory style, and the energy production like sending coal into coal power plants that then produce the energy. flame throwers and poison towers have to be fed with chemicals through pipelines etc. there is a lot of potential here for a mashup of the genres.

with the colored ink and maxing out all your research points into ink engines, you could have probably heavily invested your level up points into % shape production increases for triangles and circles, so you can spit out more and more normies. you might have even reached the 1200 normies that way.
