Sifd, you're missing a couple of things here. A) The counters on the left aren't how many troops you have... you have unlimited troops. They're counters that show how close you're getting to upgrading them each round. B) You're wasting coins putting 1 exit conveyor after each canvas... just attach the splitter/joiner/warper/etc directly to the building. C) If the battle is under control, click the map button on the bottom right and go back to the factory and keep building. It won't help this round, but it'll help the next round. D) After watching this, I think watching you play Factorio or Shapez would be hilarious. 😃

44:05 The amount of units sent out to battle is not affected by the number produced during the building phase. That is only for unit upgrades. In the background, as the battle is happening, your factory is still working and producing units which then get sent out through the portal to join the fight.

I think this is a great game to livestream, because there are many tips and tricks people have for you. We can also tell you when you forgot to upgrade/change things, like you forgot to upgrade 2 of the conveyer jumpers in this video or when something’s broken. I think it would be a great idea, also definitely use the “freeplay” mode as well for maximum min-maxing for future videos and if you livestream it. Maybe a livestream when the full game drops?

From what I've seen in the Tutorial section, there is a plan for units that require ink as an input istead of being pure shapes. It's gonna be a pretty deep and complex game.

As many people have stated, you can go back to the factory during combat if you click the factory icon bottom right. Is there a reason you dont do this?

i really really enjoy this, and i cant wait for the full version of this game. there are already so many more things that you could do if you just had another act or 2 to play with. like you could get the research trees for faster conveyors, and more production, and mix ink wells and could just make your production lines that you have faster and faster. or you could build them out for more complex production and units. the items you get from elite fights will also matter a lot more and might steer your run in certain directions.

Downloaded the demo last night and did a funky build that ended with about 200 regular heroes, 200 mages, and 500 shieldbearers. Not a very great final fight, but it made it through!

Actually, sifd a pike was generally heavier and longer than a spear. so much so that you can't (would be incredibly difficult) use a pike and a shield like a spear and shield. its like saying a short sword is the same as a longsword
