I love doing this for adults. It's very strong magic when handle right. It's mentalism he's a little showmanship it works awesome.

I got this trick in a magic set when i was about 7 years old. I know how its done. But, i didnt see him do it the way i know it. I learned 2 or 3 ways of doin this. He was supposed to hold the box up to his forehead, but i did not see him do that. I learned that 1 answer is that you can see the color thru the lid, somehow. Weather its the way the box is turned towards lite, or its just made that way. I wish he gave us a tutorial, coz i would like to know how he did his version. For a little trick, its really interesting.

Thanks for watching Glen. You're right- the common way is to hold the box to your forehead. I just didn't do it that way since it wouldn't be on camera. But otherwise, it works the same. It's not a see-through lid or anything gimmicky with the box.

I didnt want to give away the secret, even tho the secret is out there, and someone here also revealed the secret. Lol. If you ever watched an EVANERA video, he reveals how the trick is done too. Everyone has their own presentation of it. I find out the color before I put it behind my back. With patter I can misdirect the move. Put it behind my back and so the connection and then the problem that I'm not getting it. Bring it to my forehead and since I already know the color the lid is on proper. I do the guess and set the box down and then let the person open the box and I get great reactions. Adults love this and are fooled and entertained.

I learned a few ways to do it over the yrs, so i knew of a few ideas, I wanted to mention the routine of how i learned it, and how many others do it. Lol. At the end you need to do a lot better job of taking the cap off to show the selected color.

Agreed. This trick really depends on how good you do it. This presentation leaves much to be desired.

I do this and you have to do 2 moves at once. It then looks like when you lift the lid the cube is shown immediately. You don't take it off sideways like he did. It has ti be in view of the spectator. You casually take off the lid and the cube is seen.

If you treat it like a kids trick then that is what it will be. I do this all the time for adults and never had anyone say they know how it is done. If done right it fools everyone.
