Colorado 14'ers: Quandary Peak. West Ridge Route.

Quandary Peak's west ridge is a very different experience from the standard east ridge route. With hardly any people and a quarter mile of fun class 3 scrambling just before the summit, this is best way to climb Quandary.

As far as peak guides, I think you're on top from what I've seen. Sounds petty but to smooth camera work, pleasant attitude and attention to the small wonders makes the difference, great job. Personally, I'm way more "Hollywood", and enjoy the gnar climbing sections over hiking all day long. Please come see my trailer of last summer brother, I promise you'll have fun!

Actually, I love going full "Hollywood", as I get bored even on 3rd class terrain pretty fast (unless the weather is raging, that can make it pretty fun). Having already done all the 14'ers and more 13'ers than I can count, I'm going back around for another loop, this time with cameras in hand to show people around our high country. As I watched you climb down that 15-foot crux, I could not stop thinking about how you would need to climb back up to retrieve your camera, then do it all over again to continue your hike.

Not safe to bring doggo on a 3rd class route. He can do tough 2nd class routes, but just isn't equipped for 3rd and 4th class stuff.
