Colorado 14'ers: Capitol Peak Knife Edge Ridge

At 14,130'/4307m, Capitol Peak may not be one of the tallest 14'ers in Colorado, but it is superlative in every other way. Capitol's easiest route, the famed Knife Edge Ridge (NE ridge), is a class 4 scramble best done with the benefit of many summits under your belt, or an experienced guide. If you are properly prepared for its routefinding challenges and stunning exposure, you will be rewarded with one of Colorado's finest climbs and summits.
